Very welcoming and friendly staff. For middle august summer holidays it was surprisingly spacious in the pool (absolute world away from the chaos at Bella Italia down the road which we popped into to visit friends). 

The pools were well designed, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The resort is like being in a proper Italian village, the buildings look very traditional and blend into the greenery. The ground floor apartments had some great gardens but not sure you can choose ground floor. A lot are private rentals. Our balcony was also good, had good shade cover. 

We booked through Expedia. Bear in mind you have to pay for electric as they wish to manage fair consumption and makes it more eco than everyone blasting their Aircon all the time so a fair policy. If you have Aircon in it adds up, we had it on 50% of our stay and ended up paying 80 euros for the week. 

Ideally need a car but you could get by on taxis and walking. El Riel is a great beach cafe on the lake 15 mins walk away. Lidl is 20 mins walk.

Rooms were spacious, great facilities, comfy beds. We did move our sons mattress to the floor as the mid level bunk had no guard rail. 

We'd definitely recommend staying here.

Residence Garda Resort Village……the feeling of being away from it all and surrounded by typical Mediterranean style townhouses. The multitude of regularly returning guests agrees! The Residence Garda Resort Village, one of the best resorts at Garda Lake, is situated in the southern part of the lake between Sirmione and Peschiera del Garda.The resort is set in a huge park with beautiful Mediterranean vegetation and the buildings are created to become a harmonic part of nature. This oasis of peace, just minutes from Highway and train station, offers easy access to the major places of interest like Venice, Milan, Verona and Padova.
