Garni Hotel Berc

Bled

This property is very sweet and has a traditional alpine feel to it, and is not too big. It felt personable and comfortable. 

Our room was a good size and the bathroom was very generous in size.  Good sized shower with hot water. The bedroom was at one end with a short hall to the bathroom. We also had a long, private balcony on which we could sit. The bed was comfortable. 

The breakfast was fresh with a wide selection to choose from including hot scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juices, selection of breads/pastries and cold sliced meats, cheeses etc. as well as coffee from fresh ground beans. 

Location was about a 5 minute walk down to the lake (little bit of an uphill climb back to the hotel) and car parking right at the front door.  Plenty of good restaurants within a short walk. 

The best thing for us was the availability of complementary bicycles to use for a great ride around the lake. 

The owner was happy and friendly and special mention to Monica who was a delight!

Traditional alpine stay

This hotel, with a buffet breakfast, is great. The rooms are large, the buffet is very large and excellent, and the location is very nice and quiet.

Completely satisfied

What a lovely place! Moments walk from the lake, and 5 mins walk from Bled center. Our room for 2 adults and 2 children was spacious, with a separate lounge, and spotlessly clean. The staff could not be friendlier, so helpful and always with a smile. Breakfast is excellent with a huge variety, and catered in a beautiful traditional room.

Would recommended this hotel for families and couples, particularly if you want something that feels traditional and with a personal and homely touch.

If I am lucky enough to visit Bled again, I will certainly choose this hotel!

An utter gem

For me, this attractive, small family-run hotel was a perfect place to stay, with a peaceful, comfortable, air-conditioned room, a delicious breakfast, free tea/coffee/soft drinks 24 hours/day in the breakfast room, and situated in a quiet residential area less than 5 minutes walk to Lake Bled and all the shops, restaurants and other facilities.  

You could instead book one of the big hotels beside the lake with a lake view  (probably at 2 or 3 times the cost), but you would then also have to put up with continuous noise from the crowds of daytrippers and coach parties, cars, buses, lorries and motorbikes thundering through Bled day and night, as well as music pumping out from the many cafes, bars and casino beside the lake.  

Lake Bled is really beautiful (especially once you get a little bit away from the crowded centre of Bled), and I am so glad I chose Garni Hotel Berc for my stay!
