I booked this place believing it had two bedrooms, but the apartment actually has one bedroom plus a sleeping alcove in the living room with a curtain. The apartments are very simple; everything is IKEA, which works, but isn’t the most durable or comfortable choice for rental bedding and mattresses. There also aren’t enough blackout curtains, so expect light bleed—and limited privacy when walking from the bathroom to the alcove. Overall, it works, but set expectations accordingly and double-check the room layout before booking.

We stayed here for a few days in early June in a mountain view room, which was well worth it to watch the ever changing face of the mountain and the cloud cover. It was a very comfortable room with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom with plenty of hot water. There were lots of places for bags, boots and coats but not much bedside storage as the bedside tables were solid wood with no drawer or shelf. The only real weakness of the room was a lack of sockets for charging phones, cameras, watches, laptops etc. as most of the sockets were at ground level. Breakfast was good without being exceptional. No decaf hot drink options were available. The public rooms were closed during the day as we were between seasons, but there was a bar and café open over the road from midday. Overall, a good stay and would definitely stay here again. Addendum: since leaving, we are really missing “our” mountain view which made the stay so much more special.

We had a great stay at Gaustaview. Rented one of the smaller apartments but we managed to stay 5 people in it. Ski in and out. Very modern design for a great value. Kitchen was nice enough. Very good internet/wifi also.

3 bedroom, one bathroom apartment. Nice view towards Gaustatoppen mountain. Clean, quiet. You can rent towels and bedsheets if you don’t bring your own. Easy to get key out of keybox in the lobby. Parking next to the building. Only thing we did not like was the sofa, rather uncomfortable to sit in and could only seat 3 people, 4 if you feel you know each other quite well… 
Short drive to Gaustabanen, I believe it is possible to hike the mountain from the apartment too. 
Remember to clean up after you and bring your trash to the recycling station a short drive from the apartment.
