The staff were amazingly helpful, the bar area was really cool and breakfast was very pleasant. Rooms were a bit basic, but clean. But had 3 good night's sleep so can't complain.

The guy in the hotel ski room was incredibly helpful, got our skis out every morning all on all very good.

Perfect location - other than that, a completely disappointing experience. 
The room was absolutely filthy - with used ear plugs and false nails littering the bedroom floor. Broken table and chairs, chunks of plaster missing from the walls and silverfish in the bathroom. The room is not cleaned during your stay and there is no hoover with which to clean yourself. Further to this - upon departure, they had the cheek to withhold our deposit.

Filthy hovel

Staff are great, but the hotel completely scammed us. i planned and travelled with my family, including my older +70 parents, and our 1 year old twin babies. i booked the largest room, mountain facing apartment with balcony so we could all be together and the "babysitting grandparents" can help us with the twins, but on arriving after a long trip we were informed that "because of an error" on their behalf the room is double booked, so they put us in a smaller room. We managed to stuff the babies cots into our room, and my elderly parents had to sleep on the small pull out couch with no space to move. We dealt with it like champions and expected the difference in price to be refunded. Only on leaving we discovered that they would only offer us less then half, and then via booking.com they cheated their way out of it. Dishonest hotel, and can not recommend. it ruined an expensive and well planned skiing holiday, probably the last for my parents, rather book elsewhere in cleaner and more honest hotel. no parking given either. all we wanted was the difference in rooms as you would expect.

Good and poor. I would happily return but with a little spending and attention the experience for guests could be so much better. It didn’t know if it’s an up market youth hostel or a boutique hotel.

Good = location, ski hire and locker is great, shower room seems to be where they have refurbished, staff were ok and helpful. Dinner was decent quality.

Poor = lots of evidence that this is an old building tarted up eg the door furniture (the toilet door lock was stuck open so wouldn’t close) furniture very basic, no side table so books, chargers, phones had to go on the floor next to the bed. The hotel photos make it look like a new boutique hotel but the whole place needs painting as it’s shabby. No kettle, no cups not even a glass. No TV (for Brits this may not matter too much given ski resorts don’t usually have English language channels). Bathroom hooks for towels are tiny so wet towels fell on the floor. The room opposite us was open and used as storage so I raised it for furniture and pillows given they only give you one. The big bar doesn’t open until 5:30pm so when you return from the slopes there is not even a coffee available which is very odd and with no room kettle means you need to bring your own and buy drinks in the local supermarket. The staff hang around the pool table which is odd in a hotel. 

Price is ok given location.

Good but…

We rated this place as poor for the following reasons: 
1/ we stayed between Christmas and new year and it was very expensive, in my opinion, for the standard of accommodation. 
2/ the photos suggest it is a boutique style hotel, the photos make it look miles better than it is. The carpets are scruffy, the wardrobes in the family room are like lockers, the loo window was broken on outside pane and didn’t open, there was no shower gel or shampoo or anything provided, there was limited loo roll
3/ the brekkie wasn’t great
4/ the other reviews mention friendly staff, we didn’t find them friendly at all. There was one smiley French lady but all the others, particularly brekkie lady and reception staff were not particularly friendly 
5/ there is a car park but it was full, no information available on how you booked it in advance or when there provided
6/ an email was sent re ski hire being available from the hostel but quite short notice so we had already sorted it from elsewhere so had to pay an extra €48 for ski storage (although to be fair the man in ski room was really nice and helpful)

To conclude, it wasn’t terrible but for the cost, it wasn’t what we expected at all

It is central to the shops, restaurants and slopes so if you get a good, cheap deal then it would be fine
