We had a room with a nice view on the lake. The room was clean and quiet. We didn’t need the air conditioning but it can be useful in case of a heatwave. The staff is nice and welcoming but don’t speak English. However we managed in German! Breakfast is ok. Fruit salad came from a can, but there were fresh plums, home baked cakes and homemade jams.The hotel is on the heights of the town. You can walk down as reach the town in 25’. The path is very steep... there is also a free bus  to go down town and back ( but not many times a day). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for its quietness.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hotel Du Palme. I would describe it as an excellent 2 star hotel that is well worth the money. 

The hotel has a fantastic view of Lake Garda and is near the small town of Albisano. It is quite high up on the hillside so it would suit people that have their own transport, like walking or don’t mind getting taxi’s. 

The hotel is immaculate throughout and the lady that runs it is really helpful (Stella). She speaks very little English as most of the clients are German. She always smiles and really goes out of her way to help. 

The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable and the showers are good. The balcony view is breathtaking. 

The breakfast is the traditional German fare which we were fine with. 

This is a really good place to base yourself if you are going to explore the lake. 

When you consider the cost and the overall experience it is well worth the 5 stars we’ve given it.

A Good Hotel

Nice, clean and friendly. Great breakfast. 
Great view of the lake. No air conditioner. Can  be a bit noisy at night because of traffic if you have a room facing the lake. Very clean. We have stayed at Duo Palme four times and enjoy the familiar atmosphere.
