Hotel Andino

St Anton

I booked the Deluxe double room and it was really spacious. The bathroom too was quite big and nice. The hotel is opposite the train station and I had the room facing the main road but the room was quiet. Breakfast is good too.

The hotel provided the summer card with which on one day cable cars are free.
I reached the hotel bit early but the room was ready for check-in. 

Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Pleasant stay

The hotel is conveniently located in St Anton a few yards from a number of shops and restaurants. The main bubble lift is 100m away and Intersport for ski hire a little less. 

The hotel has a Peruvian feel and the rooms are very comfortable.  We visited on March and the weather was fantastic. Sun all day. The room was a little warm and we needed to open the window to cool the room at night. The housekeepers cleaned and tidied up each morning and folded the duvets into a nice shape personalising the service. Coffee, tea and a minibar is available in room but there is a charge for coffee and tea which we feel is a bit excessive as the hotel is not cheap. 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. We will stay here again when we return to St Anton. 

The staff are all really friendly and helpful and at breakfast you can order eggs of your choice which are cooked in front of you. Breakfast is in the Al Fuego restaurant which is open to the public in the evenings and definitely worth a visit. 

There is a wellness centre downstairs which comprises a sauna and an infrared room, open between 4 and 8pm.

Lovely hotel, great restaurant, great service.

We found this gem of a hotel on booking.com. When we arrived we were welcomed with real enthusiasm which is how we found the owners and staff throughout the weekend.  Everything was clean. The showers were great and the heading home day setup was excellent allowing those extra few hours skiing and then being able to shower etc.

Definitely return. 5 stars


Great find

Hmm. Maybe if I drank alcohol I could experience the euphoria of the Hotel Andino Bergwelten shared by some other reviewers. Personally, I felt very let down. It's true there are lots of smiles from the staff, but honestly not much consideration for the guests behind them or the hotel policies. The place is super cute on the surface. The room itself was lovely but at $600 for one night I wasn't expecting the scratchy college dorm room cotton/elastin jersey sheet - or the unwelcome "wake up" at 8:00AM by the mini bar checker barging into the room despite the "do not disturb" sign being the door. She said someone must have turned it around... Really? That wouldn't be good either.  I think they come and wake you up because although breakfast is served until 10:00 (where you will wait ten minutes for someone to finish replacing bowls at the buffet while you stand by), check out is also 10:00!!! A 10:00AM check out in my opinion is reserved for youth hostels and two star hotels, not four star hotels that charge five star rates. I shouldn’t forget to mention the bag of trash from other rooms right at our door at 9:50AM. Nothing says “please go soon” like someone else’s garbage showing you the way out. The Andino delivers three star service at best. On the bright side, the Al Fuego restaurant was excellent and it's easy to park underneath the hotel, if you have reserved a place in advance. That’s important because there is absolutely no one to help you with your bags, but there are a couple of self-service cart-things in the garage. Otherwise, there was a reason Andino was the only hotel in Sankt Anton with a room last minute for a Friday night. Shop early, shop elsewhere for a place to stay but definitely try the Al Fuego restaurant.
