Just an awful experience and if you are English don’t go this is an anti English hotel. You are not welcomed. Staff are rude and there is a constant push to use their restaurant and their drink in an aggressive way. The hotel room had no drawers to unpack underwear. No shelves. No tea making facilities. A broken towel rail. Hair dryer with broken wires and air con that is either like sleeping in the hottest place on earth and you have to open the windows or you freeze to death. We tried to sort this out but they didn’t care and were rude. The waiters should be sacked as they literally through plates on the table. We were on half board and you had a choice of one main course or nothing and they will not offer a substitute. We lasted two nights and couldn’t take anymore and checked out and moved hotel wherein that hotel was fantastic and they were really friendly

Awful hotel, rude staff and don’t like English tourists

This review is based on a recent visit to this hotel which was booked via TUI holidays.

Upon arrival the hotel is located on a square facing the lake. Ideal location. Check in was easy but receptionist was not very friendly.

The lift up to the floors needed updating. It was very much it and miss and very rickety. Using the stairs the lights would suddenly go out when you were half way down the stairs - potential accident to be observed.

The room was TINY. Not enough storage for our belongings so I had my clothes from my suitcase when I needed them. En-suite had a rickety sliding door and shower leaked into the bathroom.

Television and internet were not working properly. All stations on the tv were pixelated and unable to watch. Internet only existed in seats outside reception.

Reported to receptionist and TUI rep. They did nothing about it.

Also advertised was free Garda card which was not available.

Restaurant for breakfast was not very nice. The bread rolls were stale and very crumbly. Bacon was cold.

One of the waitresses was taking her own medication and using the water from the cold water source for customers.

The evening meal was lovely but after a week became lack of choices. Portions were of good size and tasty. I recommend the salads.

Service in restaurant in evenings was good but sometimes they were very busy.

If I cane again I would use another hotel

Definitely room for improvement on all levels.

Really enjoyed our stay in a twin room overlooking the lake, in an excellent location. There were plenty of food options, as we stayed half board with TUI. The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was minimal, as our stay was in June.
