It is clean well run hotel.  Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with bacon and eggs made to your desire.  Staff were kind, polite and friendly.  Plenty of parking and wonderful views.  Delicious dinners are also served and very reasonable.  Great place to stay in Zillertal and will return next time we are in the area.

We had the most relaxing stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Fügen because we had such a wonderful place to a return to each day. Remarkable view, excellent food, and if you’re on a budget, very close to the grocery store. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner in the restaurant, and still talk about how perfect it was. I had gone with family to the museum while my husband stayed behind with our 6-month-old. A cot was delivered but he was afraid there was not enough space in our room for it and luggage. A little later, an absolutely beautiful Moses Basket was brought up. When I got back and saw him sleeping so peacefully and in such a beautiful little bed, I felt a bit emotional. I suffered from back pain due to the amount of walking we did during the trip, and found the bed very comfortable so that each morning I felt better. Hotel Edelweiss was charming. If we are lucky enough to return, we will stay there again.

Wonderful hospitality

We spent a week at Edelweiss, in Fugen in September. It is situated perfectly for doing day trips to Salzburg, Innsbruck, Lake Achensee by steam cog railway, Swarovski Crystal Museum, Hall in Tirol and the Tyrolean Alps to the south in the Zillertal. We had a lovely room with a small balcony at a very good price. Our hosts, the Steger family, were extremely friendly and accommodating. We, with our travelling companions, ate each night in their restaurant. The prices were very reasonable and the food was fantastic! I had to have the garlic soup twice! Olga our waitress was great! Having been in Austria for three trips, I would recommend a week in Fugen to anyone and the Edelweiss Hotel is the place to stay.

Friendly staff, a nice family run hotel. Great food - fresh breakfasts and lovely dinners. The owner and his wife were very welcoming. Rooms were nice with balcony. Good base for skiing, although I took train back up to Mayrhofen but you could ski on Spieljoch.

This family run hotel has a very warm atmosphere and attentive personell. You wil feel right at home and enjoy the attention of the staff. The restaurant is very good and that is a big plus as there are not many (good) restaurants in Fugen.
The skibus stops just 10 meters away at the back of the hotel. Free wifi available and works excellent.
Only the shower pressure would improve my rating even more.
