We greatly enjoyed our stay in Edelweiss for 9 days in September 2025. We were happy with everything: location, amenities, food and service. Stuff is wonderful—EVERYONE is very professional, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Every night we enjoyed half-board dinner option: it is so convenient to have tasty nicely presented food waiting for you after the day of hiking. The Wengen and all the Jungfrau Region is so beautiful with spectacular breathtaking views, so if you can, add couple of extra days to you itinerary to compensate for rainy/foggy days. 

Nice place with wonderful stuff, strongly recommend.

Wonderful Hotel and the room with the view of Jungfrau

We absolutely loved our stay at the Edelweiss! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the facilities were immaculately clean, and the location was not only breathtakingly beautiful but extremely convenient in getting around the region as it is just down the hill from the train station. We booked a balcony room and would spend each evening just taking in the scenery out there. 
Breakfast was included in the stay and was excellent- great options, clean, and delicious. We looked forward to seeing Shelly in the mornings and chatting with her. 
I also enjoyed reserving the sauna in the evenings! I was able to have it to myself each night before bed and it was a great opportunity to wind down each day. Overall, cannot recommend this place enough and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

This is our first trip to Switzerland and Wengen is the perfect place to stay. No cars in the streets, clean air, lots of restaurants and plenty of walking trails. The Edelweiss Hotel is great. Simple, clean rooms and if you book early, you can get a room with amazing views of the mountains. The hotel was clean, tidy, and close to the railway station. The meals are great and the staff very friendly. They have a nice breakfast included and a relatively cheap evening meal if you want. You could try the hotel one night then try another restaurant in town later. I will come back here for sure. Switzerland is expensive for Aussies but there is a great supermarket around the corner and you can get lots of cheap sandwiches, salads and fruit for lunch. It has a lift if you cant walk the stairs but if you stay in Wengen you should be prepared to walk either uphill or downhill, both in town and on the trails. I will be back!!
