Hotel Pavillon

Courmayeur

This hotel was quite odd and seems frozen in the 1970's. Extremely uninviting and uncomfortable, from the old, dirty carpet- bright red elevator. So many better options in the area. The bed was similar to crib mattress and the sheets were like cardboard. I never write negative reviews, but felt obligated as this place really put a damper on my incredible TMB trip.

Frozen in Time

The hotel breakfast was a delightful experience, offering a wide variety of options in the buffet. The service was excellent, and overall, it was a lovely way to start the day. However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 due to one issue: a blonde lady working at the buffet was observed touching all the food items with her bare hands, including croissants, cheeses, pastries, bread, and breadsticks. This is a significant hygiene concern and needs to be addressed. Despite this, the breakfast was generally enjoyable.

Nice overnight stay

Charming ski lodge in Courmayeur with great family areas within the hotel (fireplaces, couches, tables and chairs) where one can imagine families spending time together after a full day of skiing. Outside patio was delightful in summer, with tables and chairs, lounge chairs to bathe in the sun or sit in shade and enjoy the fabulous mountain village views. We arrived around 4 pm and were able to enjoy outside area. They graciously served us drinks and aperitifs although bar and restaurant were not yet open. Hotel staff very accommodating and made great restaurant suggestions. 
Food was delicious and the many trolleys of themed food (salad, cheese, dessert) provided a wide variety of options to salivate over! The desserts were fabulous!!!  
Breakfast buffet was extensive and provided a lot of variety - meats/cheeses, pastries, yogurt, hot entree (eggs/sausage or bacon).
