Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay at our 5★ CGH L'Alpage tourist residence. We are sincerely sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly upon your arrival.
Regarding your late arrival, we would like to point out that the reception was exceptionally open until 9 p.m. on Saturday. Upon receipt of our guests' contact details, the late arrival procedure is systematically communicated by email and telephone. There is also a box dedicated to late arrivals, clearly marked at the entrance to the residence, containing essential information and the night receptionist's phone number. However, as Saturdays are very busy arrival days, our reception can indeed be very busy, and we sincerely apologize if this made it difficult to get through on the phone. We apologize for this inconvenience.
It is important to note that our establishment is a tourist residence and not a hotel, with a different operating system, notably the absence of a 24-hour reception desk. However, these details are specified in our information materials.
We are sorry that you found the signage and orientation within the residence confusing. The architecture of the building, typical of mountain residences, can indeed take some getting used to, and we are taking your comments into account in order to further improve the support we provide to our guests on arrival.

Regarding the apartment's facilities, we regret the inconvenience you experienced (combination oven, tiled floor, draft). Our technical teams are available to intervene during your stay and these points will be carefully checked. The heating is deliberately regulated to ensure consistent and responsible thermal comfort.

Regarding Wi-Fi, we would like to inform you that the residence has been equipped with fiber optic internet since December, and we apologize if the quality of service was not satisfactory during your stay.

The spa is designed as a place to relax after skiing, with an indoor pool, hot tubs, steam rooms, and saunas. The temperatures are set according to current standards, but we understand that this may not meet the expectations of all guests.

Finally, as you pointed out, the residence offers beautiful views, but access is slightly elevated. However, there are solutions available, such as the ski bus, and our team is always available to provide advice tailored to each guest's needs and abilities.
We sincerely regret that you are leaving with mixed feelings and thank you for your constructive comments, which help us to continuously improve the quality of our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back so that we can provide you with an experience more in line with CGH standards and spirit.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adult family members. 
We had a nightmare on arrival as we were delayed past the closing of reception at 8pm. We attempted to contact them prior to this with no response and had to go to the tour company.  We were not given any instructions about late arrival despite phoning everywhere , and only by chance found a box outside with some details for late arrivals. The instructions were only in French!!!!! And it was tortuous trying to work out how to find our ridiculously tight parking space, ski locker, and  room in this giant maze of a complex with the instructions given !!! The lack of reception on a transfer night is unacceptable.  What 4 star hotel has so much time when there is Zero reception? After 8 pm you cannot get any help whatsoever even if there is an issue/problem in your room. 
The polished concrete slope and entrance to the car park is treacherous with ice and they don't bother to salt it. 
The apartment was clean, and attractive,  the kitchen well equipped, but the space everywhere is unbelievably tight for a 4 star hotel with very inadequate storage in every room. You can only just shuffle around the beds . Most of the limited storage in the double bedroom was taken up with spare bedding.  A horrible draught from the velux directly above the beds and instructions about use on the wall bearing no resemblance to the situation. 
The WiFi is non existent. 
 The welcome gift was very nice but arrived 3 days after we did, that being our first contract from hotel staff.  Bathroom had a tile missing and the combi oven didn't function properly as a microwave and poured a lot of heat into the room when used as a trad oven and very inefficient to cook with. 
The communal heating is OK if you are happy with 21 degrees.  
The views from our apartment were great, we were on the top floor facing the right way ,but others not so lucky. 
The spa is not what one would expect with a sadly very cold swimming pool and only 2 small lukewarm "hot tubs".  The hammams are nice with varied temps but again small. 
Lastly unless you are very fit you cannot walk to the majority of the slopes esp in ski boots, due to the steep icy climb up from the hotel to the main road and then still some 600 yards down to the main lifts. The ski bus does drop you on the main road nr the hotel but there is still the steep slope to the hotel. Or you can drive down daily as we did. 
Sadly all in all not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
