But what touches us most of all are your words about the team. Hospitality and sharing are at the heart of Mamie's DNA, and knowing that you felt ‘at home’ is our greatest joy.

Your message to Jays has been passed on to him, and he was very touched. This is exactly the spirit of the house: taking care of our guests with simplicity and kindness, especially when the snow gets in the way ! Turning a slightly complicated arrival into an excellent memory is all that matters to us.

First of all, I am surprised with the hotel. Rooms are great. Awesome bed and blanket, beautiful decoration and an incredible view of the city from the room.

However, not only the hotel is great, but the employees made the difference to be much better. Nowadays It’s hard to find people that want to do the best and that is what I see at this hotel.

Everyone is really helpful. At the reception, everyone with a smile at the face and helping with baggage, skis, informations. I felt at home.

At last and the most important one for me was this situation. Last night snowed a lot at town and I was not feeling safe to drive uphill in the town. So I called the hotel (and they answered me at the same time which was awesome) and told me there was a free shuttle from city center to hotel. I find the transfer very easy and the drive which is called *JAYS* helped me and me wife a LOT with our situation. I found the hotel shuttle car at the spot and he took the baggages & skis from our car and took my wife to the hotel (so she didn’t stay outside in cold weather) while I was parking my car. Just when I parked, he was ready to take me to the hotel too.  I am really happy with this attitude because If we were by ourselves we would have been struggling for a long time finding another transport to carry all of our stuffs and would be a terrible first day. This attitude changed a lot our first day! Thank you JAYS, this hotel is very lucky to have you in the team. Very rare to find people like you willing to give the best!

As far as the decor is concerned, we have indeed chosen a pop and quirky universe. From the bright colours to the tartan corridors, every detail has been designed to evoke Mamie's home. We're sorry if this atmosphere didn't transport you back to sweet childhood memories.

Your feedback has been shared and taken into account. Mamie remains an inhabited house, with room for improvement, but sincere in its desire to welcome its guests with the utmost care and kindness.

Before creating branded sweatshirts, selling a homey feeling, please work on the basics. The rooms are terrible, walls are dark and paper thin (you literally hear every conversation and TV of your neighbors). Terrace has zero privacy. Shower is hesitating between super cold and awfully hot (what is wrong with the shower mixer??). Staff is mostly made of student jobs with close to no added value (recommendation for restaurants led to a dead end). Price is outrageous given it is more of a youth hostel than a proper 3 star. Well basically there is no star to be earned except for the nice breakfast and the very polite head of staff Elodie who does what she can to survive this environment. It is a shameful cash grab with a lot of “wannabe” and poor substance. And we had the high rate room so I cannot imagine the cheap ones with no view.

Kind of nice hybrid place between Hôtel and flat residence .. rooms a bit outdated though nice .. even though beds a bit small .. no furnished mini bar but asking for huge security deposit .. numerous staff but mostly un experienced m though very friendly .. very rigid rather uncommercial policies..
