I recently stayed in one of the Montebello units and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the loss of my expensive Sonicare toothbrush. Despite reaching out to the host, they claimed they couldn't find it. As a result, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on this matter.

I booked a stay at 4815 Casabella Crescent for a special occasion, and overall, the place was decent.  However, the incident involving my toothbrush left me feeling quite disappointed. Here's what happened:

Lost and Unfound: When I realized I had left my Sonicare toothbrush on the nightstand in the room I was staying in, I promptly contacted the host. To my surprise, they informed me that the Sonicare toothbrush and case was not found. Now, I understand that mistakes happen, but losing an expensive item like this is unacceptable.
Lack of Responsibility: As a guest, I expect hosts to take responsibility for items accidentally left behind. After all, it's their property, and they should ensure that guests' belongings are handled with care. Unfortunately, this was not the case here.
No Effort to Rectify: Instead of offering to replace the toothbrush or compensate me, or to investigate the situation further, the host simply shrugged it off. It's disheartening when a host prioritizes convenience over guest satisfaction.

Recommendation:
If you're considering staying at this Airbnb, be aware that lost items may not be treated with the care they deserve. While the place itself was fine, this experience has left me feeling disappointment.  I truly miss the days when people had the decency to turn lost items in.  I hope the host takes this feedback seriously and improves their approach to handling such situations in the future.

Remember, as guests, we rely on hosts to create a positive and respectful environment. Losing an expensive item and then dismissing it without any effort to make things right is disappointing. I hope my review encourages better practices and accountability.

Easy walk to the village for restaurants and shopping. One of the best properties in Whistler with well maintained grounds. Will be returning next year! Large accomodations for large groups if needed, private hot tub!


Perfect getaway

This was the 2nd time that we've stayed at Dan's house. 

It was exactly as we remembered it.  Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. 

The location is ideal for us, and having a garage to store our bikes and paddleboards is great. 

It was so good to have the hot tub to soak in after an active day, although it did have some grit in it and maybe needs vacuuming out.  The wobbly board around the hot tub is still wobbly and hasn't been fixed. 

There were chairs but no table on the patio area. And on the balcony a table but no chairs! 

While sitting on the patio it was a little disconcerting to see a mouse dash up into the space between the wooden cladding and the wall.

There is a problem with the tv/cable as the tv freezes every 90 seconds or so.  We googled this and it seems to be a known problem but it was very frustrating.

I called the emergency contact as I had a question regarding the door code, and had to leave a message.  He did not call us back, but text telling us to call him again (obviously wanted to save on his phone bill!) 

If we need to rent a house of this size in the future we will certainly consider this house again. 

4712 Settebello Crescent - our second visit

We decided to book Montebello for our annual friends Whistler trip and it was a nice place overall. Location is great walking distance to village and green lake in opposite directions. Adjoining back green space is open across  townhomes and nicely landscaped. Each unit has a 4 person hot tub on each unit. We came across some rare blue birds here as well.

Interior has comfortable couches, nice easy to use appliances and very well stocked kitchen. The Weber grill was great as we barbecued couple times a day. Only complaint was air conditioning in unit wasn't working very well and the AC unit outside takes up space on deck and is quite noisy. Not sure if other units are setup that way.

The place overall was comfortable. We had a great weekend with friends.
