Residence Ciel Bleu

Pila

The price was very low, considering we went there for New Year's eve. The view was amazing, you could see the sun rising on the Mont Blanc. 
However, the room was very small, we were four and we were cramped in there, cleaningness was acceptable. 
The cookers were barely working, it took ages to boil water, moreover, wifi worked only within the hall, despite what stated on the residence's description.

Great price, average residence

I was originally booked into a hotel in Valmorel but as there was no snow left there we got shipped off to Pila with no idea what to expect! The hotel is quite old-fashioned and the designers were big wood fans - everything is pine! But we had no complaints about it at all, the rooms and balconies are very large and well equipped. There is a pizzeria in it where the pizzas are freshly made in the stone oven. It is the furthest away from the ski lifts of all the hotels in Pila but it's still only a 10 minute walk. There's a bus that you can get but it's usually full as it's come up from Aosta. The chairlift makes getting to Aosta easy which is great as it's a really nice town. I'd definitely go back to Pila and to this hotel.
