We stayed at the Alpine Lodge in a junior suite (the one with a one double bedroom with fold down bunk beds) for a one week ski trip at the end of January. We were really happy with our choice, the apartment was a good size and very comfortable. The view across the valley was stunning. The kitchen was well kitted out, a good size for two people and we really appreciated the dishwasher which takes a lot of the hassle out of self catering. We particularly liked the location which enabled us to ski and ski out directly to the brand new gondola and was near to key facilities such as ski hire, restaurants and a small supermarket. We were also walking distance of 10 minutes from the cross country ski Arena and the Amita Moen Ski School where we had excellent lessons on cross country skiing. This is a big thing in Norway and seemed to pity not too try. We really enjoyed it and ended up doing our normal snowboarding in the morning and then going for a cross country ski in the afternoons. All possible without a car as everything was to hand on foot.

Our only (minor) gripes were that the apartment was a little dark due to the very attractive but rather dark decor maybe requiring brighter lighting for middle-aged humans with limited vision! We also found the maps and timetables relating to the ski bus difficult to navigate (not the fault of the Alpine Lodge) and in the end mostly preferred to walk to the centre of Trysil, which took about 30 minutes and we found to be rather attractive heading past the pretty cabins and over the river footbridge.

All in all, highly recommended and we would definitely come back to trysil and pick Alpine Lodge again, especially as it looks as though the building is due to be extended and they will have additional facilities such as a pool in future.

Excellent stay from start to finish. Check in was easy, efficient and informative, with just enough information to get us settled in and aware of the surroundings after a long journey from the UK. The underground car park was secure, lots of room and automatic doors with number plate recognition. It was easy to get the lift up to the apartment. We had a 3 bedroom apartment for a family of 4, 19 year old girl and 17 year old boy had separate rooms. Although 17 year old had bunk beds and used one bed for sleeping and 1 for “chilling”. The apartment had everything we needed, 2 large bathrooms, wardrobes, it was large, clean, had amazing views, lots of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen had a large fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher and oven, even washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. There was no microwave but I messaged reception and one was brought to us the next day, fantastic service. There was a large TV, lovely balcony and the beds were very comfortable. 
The boot room was amazing, we’ve never had one so big, lots of secure storage, and seating areas for putting boots on, and we’ve skied in France, Austria, Switzerland, Andorra and Finland, it was fantastic. The access to the slopes was great, just over a small road, then you can ski down a beginner slope and get on a button lift. 
A few negatives were the noise from children running up and down the corridors, only late afternoon/early evening, frustrating when your having a relax after a day on the slopes, but that’s down to other guests!
The noise from a near by apres bar, until 7pm each day and a couple of times when it turned into a night club, also we visited over Easter and it seemed the apartments had a few guests that were definitely partying! The start of our stay was very quiet though.

Trysil Alpine Lodge has Trysilfjellet's best location, and is a warm, comfortable and social place to come to. Here you live in the middle of the slopes in newly built high-standard apartments with immediate access to everything in the ski resort. The apartments are close to the children's area, and you will find shops and restaurants right outside the door.
