An amazing hotel set in beautiful surroundings. This hotel is as near perfect as you can get and certainly one of, if not the best, we have ever stayed in during nearly 50 years of touring the UK and Western Europe. From the welcome we first received on arrival, to the service we received throughout our stay, all was very friendly and professional.

We stayed on a half board basis and the food both at breakfast and dinner was superb, in quality, selection and presentation. The evening meal was, in our opinion, of Michelin Star quality.

The Sonnblick is the ideal size of hotel, large enough to provide spacious and varied facilities (Dining room, bar, lounge, outside terrace and wellness areas), but small enough to be able to provide a personal and friendly level of service.

Our room, was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a south facing balcony providing amazing uninterrupted views, up the valley to the magnificent mountains. The room was serviced daily, in an unobtrusive way which ensured it was always perfect when we returned after a days hiking. Many thanks to the staff involved.

All in all, Hotel Sonnblick contributed to a fantastic holiday in the Pitztal Valley and we can thoroughly recommend both the hotel and the area for those seeking a great outdoors experience, with a luxury base, set in an area slightly away from some of the more well known and touristy resorts in Austria.

We booked directly with the hotel and found communication before our stay, via email, to be excellent in dealing with one or two small queries that we had.

The location is stunning, with breathtaking views that add to the serene and romantic atmosphere. The breakfast spread is absolutely fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options each morning. The 5 course menu and their wine selection are above and beyond.

If you have the chance, I highly recommend requesting a room with a view of the mountains—it’s well worth it!

Welcome to the snow playground Fairy-tale snow-covered, so much snow as only existed in childhood, crystal-clear air and a view that takes your breath away - winter in Pitztal is an absolute highlight not only for skiers and snowboarders. Those who prefer to take it a bit easier or simply enjoy the beauty of nature will find absolute relaxation in soothing silence off the slopes as well. Winter with us at Sonnblick means cosiness, warm service, culinary delights, and the snow playground right outside the front door. Relax, recharge your batteries, and recuperate. No matter if you return from a long winter hike or from skiing. In our house wellness is not the centre of attention, but you do not have to miss it. Our small but inviting wellness area offers everything you need for relaxing. The ski areas Pitztaler Glacier and Rifflsee you´ll reach in 5 minutes with the free ski bus and as an extra service you don't have to queue at the lift ticket office, because you get the ski ticket directly at our reception.
