Went to this hotel to watch entertainment and wouldn’t let us in without showing ID to prove we are over 18. I’m almost 60!!! What a joke!! So remember to take your ID with you! Unfortunately our ID was back at our hotel so we walked away.

Seeing other reviews for this hotel as excellent perhaps I missed something. The rooms our group (20 people) had were on the lower ground floor (2 floors below the casino) down a very shabby set of stairs (no lift). The room was very basic, bathroom quite small, no view (not an issue to me). How they got 4 stars I'll never know.
Found a bar in the casino when we arrived only to be told 'Closed', no advice or anything. Asked at reception told bar in the Casino, said it was closed, told no its not. Went in again and found another bar in there, only serving bottled beer. Had one drink then walked into the town. Food was poor to average at best, service was poor surroundings were drab, not a good experience. I've stayed in Kranjska Gora four times and found far better hotels and some very good restaurants.

Although primarily a Ski resort, we booked a 4 night summer break to Kranjska Gora. Chose the Korona Hotel as it had a large casino and me and the missus like a gamble when on holiday.

This is a smallish 4* hotel set against a backdrop of stunning mountains on both sides with amazing views.

Rooms were more than adequate, bed comfortable etc   It didnt have air con but being an alpine location this is not normally needed even in high summer (We happened to visit during a very rare heatwave and the room was a bit on the warm side)

The hotel has 2 onsite restaurants for dinner, and breakfast was included as well.

Staff were great and all spoke English.

The casino was surprisingly large and limits very low, we had great fun every night although we didnt win lol

In the summer there was still plenty to do, we hiked to various places. On a hot day lake Jasna is the perfect place to go, ice cold water to swim in to cool off.  Also there is a great summer toboggan run 5 mins away which we did 3 times it was so good!
