My partner found this Aparthotel online and she even wondered whether it was a scam because (a) the price was so reasonable compared to other spa hotels in this area of Austria, let alone in nearby Germany; and (b) because several of the reviews commented on the lack of staff. Both these concerns proved to be true - ie. the prices are amazingly low for what you get and there are no staff on duty at any time except cleaners who come in the mornings. You do everything else yourself, including check-in and check-out, working out how to switch on the TV, and how to switch on the saunas, and paying for food, drinks or souvenirs if you buy any. However, there are helpful. friendly staff on duty 24h a day online or at the end of a phone call to answer any questions you might have. It takes some getting used to, but the rooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard, the facilities are great, the views and surroundings are beautiful and you will find the prices hard to beat anywhere in this part of Europe. And there are some really nice touches. For example, there are high-quality children's strollers suitable for rough tracks available to borrow and a little step for children to access the sink in the bathroom.
