We went here as a group of 15 friends- and had a great time! The location of the chalet is great but as said in all the other reviews, it is no frills. You pay a high price for good food (thanks to our host Tanny), great skiing - but youth hostel type accommodation. The chalet is blessed with amazing views from a large balcony area and a brilliant, large, well-maintained hot-tub.

The common areas are pleasant and just about big enough for our group. 

The bedrooms are nicely furnished in traditional chalet style, but with crappy showers which are tiny and run out of water quickly. And as mentioned by others, the walls are paper thin. Expect to hear every snore, sneeze, bed squeak from next-door. Having said that, our room was a perfectly good size for 2 people.

Don't believe Inghams feedback on previous reviews that they will sort out the wall thickness or showers - it's just the way the chalet was built- and then adapted for use as holiday accommodation. It will still be like that when you come here!

If you are bringing a large group, bear in mind that 2 rooms - with a total of 5 beds - share 1 bathroom. So that is quite a short straw to draw when all the other rooms are en-suite.

To go skiing, the free bus stops right outside the door every 15 minutes. Or you can walk 200m to snow at the end of the road. You then have quite a tricky, narrow green run down to a chair lift.

But you get great access to the whole resort and the main gondola and lifts on the bus. It whips you into town in about 10 minutes, so get off at stop number 3 for the main area of shops and ski lifts. 

If your priority is great skiing, good food and drink- and you are not fussed about the quality of accommodation, then Perce Neige is ideal and you will be well looked after by the enthusiastic Inghams team.

15 of us stayed here from 16th to the 23rd March. Great stay, easy access to piste and free short bus ride every 15 minutes to the town. Lovely views from chalet and good cooking from Tanny our chef who was also very helpful.

I am glad to hear that, on the whole, you enjoyed your stay at the Chalet Perce Neige, despite being disappointed with certain aspects of your stay.

It’s a shame that the noise at the Chalet impacted upon your stay, so I have asked our overseas team to review this. As well as this, the limited hot water in your room is something that needs to be looked into accordingly so I have also flagged your concerns regarding this. Rest assured that we will work hard with the Chalet owner in order to ensure that any appropriate action is taken. 

Nonetheless, I am pleased that you enjoyed the hotel facilities, particularly the hot tub and balcony. It sounds like your Chalet host did a fantastic job, and really added to your overall Chalet experience.

I was a bit apprehensive about staying here due to the lack of reviews but all in all it was a good place.  There were a only a few things that let the place down such as the noise - there is only floorboards between everything so you can hear whatever is going on in other rooms.  It was also very squeaky - beds, stairs and floorboards.  The showers in the rooms were very small and only had limited hot water so if 2 people were having a shower you had to wait for the water to warm up in between - not a problem for us as one showered in the morning and one at night.  Now the good points: The hot tub was a bonus and lovely to come back to. It looks as though the living space has been extended in the past year and it has more room.  The ski bus stop is right outside.  We were in the room with the balcony which was small but nice to stand on and look out.  We stayed with Inghams and there was only one Chalet host (should have been two)but he did an amazing job of cooking and baking cakes for us.  The food was 3 course meal every night and very tasty.  He cooked for the children earlier and then again for us later.  Cannot fault his efforts at all. This was a basic but good chalet.  It is a bit out of town but you can walk it in 10 minutes (in normal shoes) but thankfully the bus stop helped.  The wifi was brilliant.

We stayed here as a family of four sharing with nine other strangers.  Thankfully we all got on well!  It was a full house. A little crowded in the main lounge area after 5pm when we all returned from skiing.  Bedrooms were all basic but sufficient. Bathrooms with tiny showers.  Viktor our chef would have to be the highlight of our stay.  He produced a wonderful variety of food and the children were fed before the adults at 6pm.  We didn't go hungry and there was plenty of wine to go around!  His cakes were a treat too!

Weather wasn't the best but visibility got better the higher we went.  Our travel agent booked our children into ski school for the afternoons 230pm until 5pm.  We overlooked it but we would book the mornings next time.  We used the free shuttle bus that stops right outside the Chalet.  

Overall, for our first time staying in a Chalet in the French Alpes was good.

We stayed here over Easter on a late booking. The chalet is basic and quite compact which could be a squeeze if all the rooms were fully used.

Location wise its just a few minutes walk to the green run that winds through the village. This lets you get up to either side of the resort which was great. Alternatively the free shuttle bus stops right outside. Not quite ski-in/ski-out but almost.

The food was top notch with Viktor our chef producing a great variety (and quantity!) of food from the small kitchen. The afternoon cakes were all good too, we couldn't fault the catering.

Our room (3) was tiny, with single beds at opposite ends of the room. The en-suite also rather cramped with a simple but workable shower (dont use too much hot water!). As mentioned by others the walls are made of ply wood so you can hear everyone moving about and talking/snoring - hope for a quiet group!

The communal areas could be better. The lounge space was not big enough to hold the whole group which was a pain. It has a balcony with deck chairs if the sun is out and also a huge 6 person jacuzzi which was not advertised but was a real treat after a days skiing (they change the water each week so its too cold to use for first two days). Free wifi was provided.

There was a room for storing skiis but its not heated so boots were kept indoors under the stairs to keep warm which worked out fine.

The skiing was good if you went high. At this time of the year (end march) it was a little warm and the Valley Blanche area was struggling to stay open with the beginner slopes like slush. 

Overall a good but basic chalet that could do with a little care and attention but serves its purpose well.
