The hotel is in the pedestrian area, so you will not be able to drive up to it if you have car. That being said, taxis can access the area, and the nearest parking lot is a short walk away.
The hotel itself is modern and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. (I checked in and out three times during my Mont Blanc climb as my group came and went, so I had the chance to see the staff interact with many people, and they were always patient and accommodating).
The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant just off of the lobby, and there is a large storage area for luggage as the hotel seems to accommodate many hikers/climbers. 
The rooms are comfortable, and some are surprisingly spacious. However, there is no A/C and they can get a bit warm in the summer. 
The only other thing to be aware of is that the rooms that face the street let a lot of noise in, and the bars in town can get a little loud in the evenings. 
I would stay here again if I were to return to Chamonix.
