For a hotel advertised as four-star, “Swiss Quality”:

•       There was no air conditioning, and in the middle of August the rooms were unbearably hot. We had to beg for a simple fan.

•       The rooms were cramped and far below four-star standards.

•       No kettle was provided, and when we asked, the answer was simply “no.”

•       Our room was not accessible by elevator, meaning we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. Completely unreasonable.

•       The breakfast was poor and nowhere near what a four-star establishment should provide.

To make matters worse, on the last day when we raised our concerns with the manager, the response was that the hotel would be demolished soon. This is beyond unacceptable. Guests should be informed in advance, not left to pay premium prices for a hotel on its way out.

A rip off!

Received by unfriendly/stressed reception woman, asked kindly if i could park my motorbike near hotel entrance this was not possible because of loading /unloading bay?? (19:30 arrival) i could park the bike in a ''tiefgarage'' around the corner asked for some location advice on maps this was refused in a unfriendly way. Checked the room and this was the last drop... outdated room gave me bad vibes. Left the hotel and searched for a better alternative. Hotel charged full price a 130 euros!!

AVOID outdated/overpriced/unfriendly staff

If you’re looking for a five star rated hotel then this isn’t it,   however read on….  What this hotel lacks in decor it makes up for with value and customer service.  

The female receptionist (didn’t catch name) was so friendly and informative, the breakfast staff were welcoming and quick with our needed morning coffees… the breakfast was perfect, the spa is a lovely addition, the night staff were helpful and friendly and I’d take all of this with this price over a five star anyday :) 

Ten minute walk from train station, lots of food and drink places near by… And the view from our room was just amazing.
