I stayed at Øen Turistsenter for five nights in February 2025. The Customer Service was excellent, including one of the staff helping me with the washing machine, my Hytte was warm and breakfast great. 

Only drawback going outside to the loo at night and to wash. Otherwise I have no complaints at all, and I would recommend Øen Turistsenter to anyone I know who would like to visit Geilo.

We rented a cabin for a short stay during the 17th of May national holiday. We took with us our own bedding instead of renting. The cabin was average in size for a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and living room, but had vaulted ceilings which made it feel more spacious. It was clean as well. It was en easy walk to the stores, movie theaters, etc. The walls were a bit thin, but our neighbors were pretty quiet. However, you could hear them talk if they used a normal to loud voice. Price was very competitive for the area. Would stay here again - recommended.

Clean, family friendly option that is competitively priced 

We rented a cabin for a short stay alaong the road in the summer holiday. We also rented bed  linen. The cabin was nice, practical and clean. It is not far from local groceries stores and the children loved the nearby playground. A recommendable place for families.

Rather bad hotel, the receptionist was very young and didn't know much and when he was supposed to answer a question he went in the back to "ask someone" and never came back! Way to expensive for a room barely bigger than the bed. The kitchen and toilet are dirty and it smells absolutely terrible because of all the smoke. Wouldn't want to go barefoot in the bathroom. The "sauna" is small and nasty and the Jacuzzi doesn't work. Also no wifi in the rooms. 

Don't go

Oen Turistsenter is a family friendly resort with cottages/cabins and apartments. We can offer a wide variety of accommodation, whether you travel alone, with your beloved, friends, family or part of a bigger group. We also have campground where you can pitch a tent, or bring caravan or camper. On-site you will find sauna, gym, free parking and WI-FI. We are located only 2 kilometers from the town center.
