Welcome to Arinsal Ski Resort
Arinsal is an idyllic Andorran village in the heart of the Pyrenees offering great value for money. Lots of wide, gentle tree-lined runs make it a favourite for families, beginners and anyone whose idea of the perfect ski trip is some cruisy corduroy. Situated at 1,500m, the resort offers a range of pisted runs, mostly in the intermediate range, going up to an altitude of 2,600m. This means it’s a good bet for reliable snow throughout the season.
As far as the après goes, Arinsal is one of the liveliest of Andorra’s resorts, with a smattering of bars and clubs ready to welcome you off the slopes.
With reliable snow cover for most of the season, picking the best time to go comes down to price and popularity. You’ll find the best bargains outside the peak periods of Christmas, New Year and February. But you’ll find the best parties when the town is fully loaded with like-minded hedonists.
December and April can be amazing but they’re also risky, which leaves March as a fail-safe bet to enjoy the best of what the resort has to offer – and that’s good snow, good prices and lots of après fun.
Things to do in Arinsal
Andorra is no longer tax free but VAT is still low compared to other countries so you’re still likely to pick up a bargain out shopping. Evenings out won’t break the bank either like they can at more upmarket resorts. For adrenaline seekers you can hire snowmobiles, fat bikes or go paragliding. There’s also snowshoeing for non-skiers or anyone who wants a day off from the slopes.
Like Pas de la Casa, Arinsal is also known for its après scene. Table football is something of a national sport in Andorra and you’ll find tables in most bars. Think twice before taking on the locals.
