Welcome to Pas de la Casa Ski Resort

Great value, a range of slopes for all abilities and one of the liveliest après scenes in Europe, welcome to Andorra’s top resort. The music starts on the slopes mid afternoon and doesn’t stop until the early hours. As far as the slopes are concerned, the resort is high, located at 2,100m and is part of the Grandvalira, the largest ski and snowboard area of the Pyrenees, which gives access to 205km of pistes. Most are blues and reds, suiting those happy cruising groomers, but there’s still a number of black runs for those who want to shred the steep stuff.

Best time to ski in Pas de la Casa

Know what you’re looking for. If it’s a bargain, go early in December, and as Pas in one of Europe’s highest resorts, it’s a snow-sure option even then. For the best chance of amazing snow, January and February will offer the best bets – the colder temperatures also mean snow-making equipment works better – but remember it’s peak season around February half term so that will push prices up. If it’s the party scene you’re after, go in March and April, when longer days and bluebird skies offer the chance to enjoy your first après beers on the slopes. With a few Irish bars in town St Patrick’s Day (March 17th) is another excuse – if one were needed – to go large.

Things to do in Pas de la Casa

Alternate snow-based activities include snowmobiling and dog-sledding. In town there’s a climbing wall for the energetic and a swimming pool and spa for unwinding after a hard day on the slopes. But it’s the après scene that really sets Pas de la Casa apart. Things kick off mid afternoon on the terraces of Coll Blanc, situated at 2,500m, with DJs getting everyone in the party mood. Back in town grab something to eat – you’ll find everything from pub faves to fondues and fine dining before hitting the nightlife. Grab a quiet Guinness at the Dubliner, watch sport at Milwaukee and for partying mayhem head to Paddy’s.
