Davos originally gained popularity as a wellness resort and there’s still a rich heritage of health spas and saunas here. It’s also traditionally been a venue for ice sports such as speed skating and ice hockey, which is almost a religion over here. There’s an ice rink in town where you can hire equipment. If you prefer your ice vertical, you can also arrange to go ice climbing with a guide. Physically the sport is incredibly demanding but the memories – good or bad – will stay with you forever!
After you’ve come down from the mountains you’ll find DJs and dancing at the slopeside Bolgen Plaza and Jatz Hut, and great restaurants, live music, and varied cultural events in town.
