Leisurely walkers will love Camí Ral - an ancient Royal Road that follows the Valira d'Orient river south through pine forests, Romanesque chapels, and old stone bridges. Meanwhile, hikers can ride the gondola up to the Pal sector for ascents to the Pic de Carroi and the 2,943m Comapedrosa summit - with views across Andorra, France, and Spain in a single sweep.
The village itself is realxed, with good restaurants and easy transport connections. But if you're looking to explore further, the legendary Pal Arinsal Bikepark is a must - with 60km of trails and 1,000m of vertical drop.

Getting to and around town:
Your airport transfer is included with your trip. Once there, you'll find it's a short stroll from most accommodation to the village centre - and many of the best valley trails start directly from the resort, no transport needed.
Getting to your walks and hikes:
Departing from town, the La Massana gondola whisks you up 675m to the Pal sector, opening up a high-mountain trail network.
The L5 and L6 buses connect La Massana to Andorra la Vella, Arinsal, and Ordino, with connections to Comapedrosa running every 30 minutes.

Can I still access La Massana's lift and gondolas in the summer?
Yes, you can. La Massana's lifts and gondolas still operate throughout the summer months, provided conditions are safe and favourable, and many of the mountain huts are still operational, so you can grab a bite to eat while savouring those epic mountain views.
When do La Massana's lifts and gondolas run during summer?

A quick "Mountain Rule of Thumb": Last ascent is usually 15–30 minutes before the official closing time, and Last descent is the very last cabin down. If you miss it, it’s a long walk back!
Can I hire a mountain guide on my La Massana walking holiday?
Yes, you can. Though these are not currently bookable via the Heidi website, you can enquire and book with the local tourist office, or visit their website. We recommend enquiring early to ensure availability.
What does the La Massana summer card give me?
La Massana's Pal Arinsal Summer Pass (free with select accommodation stays) includes 2 lift rides (ascent and descent) on 2 consecutive days on the La Massana gondola, Soldeu gondola, or Canillo gondola lift as well as free access to Pal Arinsal Bike World.
In addition, you can enjoy free and discounted Mountain Park activities - rope courses and the Big Zip 300m zip-line.
