We stayed at the Hotel Palarine for our ski holiday to Arinsal, booked through Crystal.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the hosts Graham and Maria, who welcomed us in and got everyone checked in quickly so we could settle into our room.

The room was everything you need for a skiing holiday, the shower was warm and the beds extremely comfy. Plenty of storage space for all your clothes and ski gear. 

There was a storage room downstairs for skis and boots etc. although we didn’t need to use this as we rented a locker at the top of the Arinsal gondola. We did this through our ski rental shop, Pic Negre, located directly opposite the bottom of the gondola. The locker for 2 sets of skis and boots cost €50 for the week, plus a €10 cash deposit that was refunded upon returning the key. I would highly recommend this, was worth every penny and made getting to and from the slopes everyday an awful lot easier.

Getting from the hotel to the gondola and back was easy once you get used to the buses. There is a free ski bus that runs up and down the town throughout the day, starting from approx 8:25am. The pickup location was immediately outside the hotel. Although other reviews mention the unreliability of this bus, we didn’t experience this ourselves and found it to be mostly on time and easy to use. You can also use the local L5 bus which is €1.90 a trip, although cash only on board. There is an app for the local buses, Mou-te, which is good for timings as the bus stops don’t show a timetable, just the route the buses take. You can buy bus tickets on the app, but we did this once and the driver didn’t seem to like it and wouldn’t accept it, saying cash only, so make sure you have some on you. Again, once you’ve used the bus a few times it soon becomes easy.

The absolute highlight of this hotel for us was the food. Easily the best hotel food I’ve ever experienced. The roast dinner on the first night is the best roast I’ve ever eaten, every aspect was sublime. Each night was a different cuisine including Italian, Indian, Mexican and Chinese. There is also a Chinese restaurant within the bar of the hotel, Bambu Oriental. We ate in here one night and it was the best Chinese meal I’ve ever had, and one of the best meals in general I’ve ever had. It tasted incredible and if you’re staying here then you MUST try it. You will not regret it.
I found the drinks to be reasonably priced, and they offered happy hour 2 for 1 drinks between 4-6pm Mon-Fri, perfect after a long day skiing.

All of the staff were very welcoming and so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to all of them, they really helped make this an amazing trip.
Everyone staying at the hotel was also very friendly, and it made the week so much more fun chatting with everyone and sharing our days ski stories.

Overall an amazing hotel, from the staff to the food and everything in between. Also amazing value for money. We’re already planning on returning to a different ski resort in Andorra next season, but we will absolutely be paying a visit to the Bambu Oriental restaurant again, it’s was amazing!

If you’re visiting Arinsal then stay here, you will not regret it!

Amazing hotel, incredibly welcoming staff and the best hotel food I’ve ever eaten!

What a unique, fantastic hotel. Graham & Maria have brought together and manage an excellent hotel team, all of the front of house team were so helpful, nice and engaging, all really lovely people. 
The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent, a big thankyou to all the chefs. Each evening was a great mix of themed menus including Italian, Indian, Chinese and Tex Mex. The rooms are simple and comfortable and are adequate for a ski holiday.
Skiing in Arinsal and Pal with lots of sunshine and the wonderful snow conditions during our stay was great. The free ski away-day on the Thursday to the Arcalis ski resort, around 30 minutes by coach from the hotel, was exceptional, what a beautiful, quiet, small resort with around 30km of excellent ski runs that would match anywhere in Europe.
The entertainment provided by the hotel each evening was great fun,
including a quiz night (Well done Gareth), an excellent live music duo with Natalie (from reception) & her husband, who were both excellent singers and a magician who was just amazing.

Thanks to the hotel team and everyone we met at the hotel, for making this such a fabulous ski week.

Probably my favourite hotel stay ever! The staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough for us (and all the guests that we spoke to). They helped arrange trips out to Grandvalira and Arcalis, providing local knowledge and great tips about getting around. 

The dining was next level and was the talk of the hotel! Each night was themed and all were very tasty and plenty to fill us up. We had a group that included vegans, a vegetarian and one who was gluten free.. the chef created some really thoughtful and tasty dishes for us all. 

The bar area was like going into your local pub each night, full of friendly and happy people ready to chat about their day on the slopes. Lots of laughs and some nice entertainment. The bar staff were happy and friendly too. Lots of hugs and even tears on the final night and I imagine this vibe is the same each week. 

I have no doubt we'll be back.

One of the best hotel stays of my life!

This hotel is perfect for your Pal & Arinsal ski trip. The rooms are warm, great mattresses and pillows and the shower was fantastic for aching joints after a days skiing.  The staff are all fantastic and nothing is too much bother.  The food is amazing with themed evenings during the whole week, something for everyone and great quality.  To top it all the skiing is first class and once you have warmed up on the Arinsal slopes, head over to Pal which has plenty to offer for skiers of all levels.  The free bus from Erts takes day 1 to work out the timings but after that the Gondola in Arinsal is a short journey.

What a fantastic hotel. From arrival to departure the team at this family run hotel were just brilliant. I was travelling on my own, but was never short of someone to talk to. 

The hotel is spotlessly clean. The room was well furnished and comfortable. The meals were great, a mix of themed evening menus. I tried the Bambu Restaurant on my last night and the food was next level great. 

As mentioned earlier, the staff were all just brilliant. Graham and Maria have managed to pull together some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I’ve stayed in 5* hotels that could learn lots from Hotel Paraline. It’s not a massive hotel, but big enough to be impressed that all the front of house team knew my name!

Can’t recommend this place highly enough! Thanks team for a fabulous week.
