The advertisment vs the reality was completelly different. Instead of the view on the lake, we had a view on the hotel with the mentioned view. Unfriendly staff, unstable wi-fi, no parking, “private beach” was a 20 sq. m of a grass strip located 1km from the hotel and on top of it…crunchy towels.

Stayed for 5 nights to explore the area , very comfortable accommodation just on the edge of town easy walking to the old town and a lakeside park .
Very friendly and helpful host Rosi . Would recommend this hotel for a long or short stay.

Great location 

The Hotel Seerose Garni is a small hotel located beside the main street beside the Wolfgangsee lake, actually very nice place but the Staff are absolute not friendly, not help anything, no service, the breakfast is not enough always empty.

Nice place but bad service!!

Location: very good but not outstanding location.  Unfortunately the hotel is located on the "wrong" side of the road (not on the side by the lake, but on the inner side.  That means that a busy road separates it from the lake.  Moreover only a few rooms look at the lake. 81/100
Rooms: very cheap and extremely small.  There is no taste at all, with awful furniture and no space at all.  No minibar and small, frayed towels of no help after a shower. 20/100
Service: rude. For the first time in my life I have been asked to pay at my arrival (may be they wanted to secure the income before we could change our choice after seeing the room....). We were told that there was no room for our car in the garden (differently from what was ensured to us from the agency).  When I said that in that case I would have looked around for a different accommodation, the car parking has suddenly appeared, but before going to bed I was asked to move the car in another, uncomfortable place. 7/100
Breakfast: very low quality prepackaged meat from the supermarket. Nothing fresh.  Long-lasting milk and "plastic" bread.  Fake orang-juice and no croissants. When the only available maid cleaned a dirty tablecloth, he pretended to change it, but he did not and left everything as dirty as it was! Disgusting. 7/100
Price: ridiculous overpriced for what you get! (134€ per night). 5/100

The worst service ever seen

We booked a room with lake view.  It was a good size, well furnished and spotlessly clean, as were the public areas of the hotel. Our host was friendly without being effusive and happily provided the few modest extras we requested. Breakfast was a very satisfying cold buffet, with no limits on quantities.  The lake view from the balcony was superb - in fact there are small balconies off the main staircase so everyone can enjoy a lake view. The private beach was 10 minutes away (well away from the boat landing stage) but had loungers, tables, jetty and a changing cubicle. Our only very minor issue was that the towels are hard on first use - probably roller dried?
We hesitated to book because of a few negative reviews. Very glad we went ahead as the negative points are largely inaccurate. This is a pension rather than a hotel, which is reflected in the price and the simplicity of its service.  It prefers not to accept payment by credit card but Visa Debit was fine. Demanding travellers who want premium breakfasts and lots of staff to stand around chatting would be better off elsewhere.  We had a very pleasant stay and would book again.
