Perfect apartment for 5 family members with small children. Nice breakfast. 
Near by the mountain trace.
We had like a separaited apartment with 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds. Coach and in every room were a tv, two bathrooms by the bedroom. Everything was perfect

We spent a 3 night weekend in High Tatras and I was very happy we chose this hotel. 

The room was cozy, the bed comfortable and the views incredible. 

The stay came with breakfast every morning and the breakfast spread was really outstanding. Cold cuts, cheeses, veggies, several types of bread and pastries, cereals, hot food, juice bar, coffee machine with great coffee. The restaurant has plenty of seating so it never felt overcrowded and overly busy. We went for breakfast when it opened at 7:30.

The restaurant has indoor seating, a breakfast room and an outdoor seating with umbrellas.

The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. 

Other than one lady at the front desk on Saturday evening (she was at the front desk by herself). She was dealing with some sort of complicated cancellation over the phone and she had at least 3 people waiting right in front of her. And instead of putting the person on the phone on hold and dealing with people in front of her, she made us wait 20 minutes. I finally gave up after 20 minutes and left. All I wanted was to borrow an umbrella since it was raining that evening. We got rained on. Other than that (and that’s just a poor training in common sense and hospitality service), it was really nice.

We also dined at the restaurant and the food and the service was excellent.

Comfortable, good quality place, with a great service level and very friendly staff. Amazing, open, and dedicated people. I was staying there and enjoying Tatra hiking just for 4 days, but after a whole day spent in the mountains, it was always great to come back to the hotel, the room, and the people. Great food, convenient parking, close to interesting spots in Tatrzańska Lomnica, and hiking trails. We were rushing a bit when checking-out, and I have left one of my bags in the room. To my surprise hotel's staff sent it back to me to Warsaw with no extra charge. Great attitude, and  I will definitely be back in this place. Strongly recommend!

Autumn hiking and chill-out

I am at this hotel right now. And I'm pretty unhappy. While Stenley & Barbara on the front desk staff have been beyond kind, most helpful and perfect examples of excellent hospitality. BUT.

We booked this property specifically because it promised a spa, pools, jacuzzi, etc. on site. Photos show all sorts of delightful hot, steamy, bubbly spa facilities. I have a knee injury and intended to relieve some of the pain in the hot water of a bath or jacuzzi. Upon arrival, we discover a shower only in the room and the jacuzzi is broken. Ok bad luck. Day 2, I ask about the jacuzzi. Still not fixed OK. Bad luck. Day 3 I ask about the jacuzzi. Still broken... At this point it should be clear I'm quite keen to use the jacuzzi. 

We got back from sightseeing today and learn the jacuzzi is finally fixed! But every other guest in the hotel seems to have had ability to book time in the jacuzzi - it's book solid til midnight. We leave very early tomorrow. Now I must watch all the happy guests in their robes trot past my window on the way to/from a relaxing soak. 

A hotel of this size, at these prices, and they only have one jacuzzi? That's absurd. All of those lovely spa photos in the promotional materials? That's all at the property next door and we have to pay extra to use those facilities. That's misleading. 

Also the wifi is complete pants. Practically useless.

The room is fine. The hot water is fine. The restaurant is fine. Everything's clean.. Staff in general couldn't be nicer.

Hotel KUKUCKA is located in the centre of one of the most beautiful and the most visited villages in the High Tatra Mountains - Tatranska Lomnica village, where one of the longest ski slopes in Slovakia ends.
