A great place to stay to explore Malcesine and Limone! Wonderful and friendly lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. The hotel is well maintained, clean and provided for all our needs. The view from the room balcony and rooftop area is stunning!

A great place to stay to explore Malcesine!

Just returned from fantastic 11 day stay at this gem of a hotel. The staff and owners were amazing and couldn't do more to help. Service of Catriona and Cati second to none with lots of tiny noticeable things and going the extra mile. Spectacular view from 3rd floor over Lake Garda and to mountains. Room clean and good size. Great variety of food at breakfast. Lovely swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. We also took 10 min walk down for a swim in Lake.

Malcesine is beautiful and a great base and best of the resorts we visited. Standard of restaurants high and we particularly enjoyed Vidoc, Da Nonno Pina, Al Baccio and Al Gondiliere. Lots of events going on during a festival. We enjoyed Street food, music and fireworks on the lake at nearby Cassone.

Because of hire car prices we chose to travel by train from Venice to Peschiera and hotel arranged transfer with Luca, also very helpful, informative and friendly. No car needed and we had very enjoyable day excursion with Lake Garda Excursions to Verona, ferry trips to Limone, Salo and Sirmione and walk to cable car for memorable cable car ride and walk along the top of Monte Baldo. It's a  15 minute walk to Malcesine which is a steady climb back up. 

A business is as good as its people and of all the above it is the staff that made this holiday so special.

This was a fantastic hotel, very clean and helpful staff who made you welcome. All of the staff and management couldn’t do enough to make our stay special.
I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to friends or family or booking again.

The Hotel Villa Smeralda, completely renovated, modern and welcoming hotel is equipped with every comfort. Family atmosphere, offers its guests comfortable design rooms with Wi-Fi, 32" LED TV, telephone, safe, air conditioning and heating, modern bathrooms with hairdryer, balcony with lake or mountain view, pool, terrace with sun beds and parasols, a Jacuzzi on the roof (summer time), lift, private parking and covered garage, lounge bar serving small dishes and large buffet breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the lake. Located in a quiet area, the picturesque medieval village, the historic center of Malcesine, is located just 750 meters away and within walking distance without any problems.
