We stayed here a few nights, it is about 600-700 m from center, which is not much, unless you have to drag your luggage on the snow at -15 degrees :)
there is a mall close by so you can do some groceries there.
Hotel is nice, but it would be good to have a little reception desk.

Budget hotel, clean and not too far away from center.

Yes it’s a very basic hotel, more like a hostel but it’s very clean and warm, hot shower, comfortable beds, free parking and short walk into town

Nice family stay

We arrived in 30 degrees heat to a room without air-conditioning or even a fan, the room faced the afternoon sun as well.
You have to travel to it's sister hotel to check in and then we had to drive back there to collect a fan, this was a large oscillating fan but it was not very powerful. 
Most of the plug sockets did not work, so was awkward to charge phones, run a fridge and run the fan.

Can't cope with the heat

I have booked this hotel for December 2025. Have emailed numerous times to alter my booking to one day before and no replies!! I can't believe they just don't reply!!
Have emailed them to an email off site but still nothing, but can see that they have read my messages through booking.com but nothing. To add insult to that then I realized I was charged an extra $12 and have no idea why and it wasn't the exchange rate. So now I have to cancel my booking with no refund and re book elsewhere as they wont interact with me?
Absolutely shocking customer service. 

Disclaimer: I have not stayed here yet as it is booked for December 2025 but when making this complaint I had to select a date of when I went and it doesn't allow me to proceed without selection. So I selected December 2024 to proceed with the complaint.

Guests can contact the reception of Hotel Santa Claus by using the house phones. The rooms are equipped with TV, bathroom with shower, mini fridge and electric kettle. Two rooms have a sauna ensuite. Check-in takes place in Hotel Santa Claus, Korkalonkatu 29.
