We arrived at Villa Tempesta on Tuesday, 20th May, and stayed for two nights. The weather forecast wasn’t great, so we asked if we could upgrade to a larger room since we could spend some time in our room. The staff were incredibly helpful and, for a modest rate increase, we ended up in a suite.

The hotel was immaculately clean and beautifully presented, with stunning lake views from both the restaurant and our room. We even had a lovely morning of sunshine and a chance to dry off in the warm sun after a swim in the 19-degree pool!

However, there’s a downside to consider. Breakfast and lunch are available in the restaurant, but dinner isn’t. Since there aren’t any footpaths on the busy road, driving to a restaurant for dinner means a cold beer by the pool or lakeside, or wine with lunch must be limited, at least for the driver.

Despite this minor inconvenience, we had a wonderful time and would love to visit again. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive.
