I am not sure how this place is rated 5 star.
We stayed as a family of 4, and would not recommend this place.

The issues we encountered:

Staff rude and unhelpful. 
- When I asked for a map or direction, the reception staff stated "download the app"
- When I asked where the bus stop is, "out the front"
- Which line is the shuttle "red or blue"
- When I asked where the ski room is "down the hall"
- I tried to enquire about the bar/cafe in the foyer, but gave up when I was getting one word answers
They do NOT try to help, regardless of the language differences. After a while I gave up. I found the other guests were able to provide more helpful information than the staff.

Poor Facilities
- There is no washing machine onsite. There is a 'laundry service' for 30euro per bag. This is excessive. I tried asking the staff if there is a self service laundromat, but after failed attempts, I googled it myself. (There is Val Net a short shuttle ride away with washing machine for 8euro per load).
- The ski locker barely fit our 4 skis, poles and boots. Nowhere to hang helmet, or to dry boots.
- The apartment we had was very short. My husband (6ft) continually hit his head - especially on the ridiculous saloon bathroom doors.
- You have to clean the kitchen yourself before leaving!
- You have to take your own rubbish out. (We found the outdoor bins ourselves - no point asking reception)
- There was not enough crockery for the 4 of us. For example - 3 mugs, 3 bowls etc
- The TVs are not SMART TVs. Pack a HDMI cord for your device to connect.
- Uncomfortable beds and pillows. We gave up and used towels and sweaters for pillows.

One positive comment - location - excellent access to main ski basin.

Considering the cost, I do think that there would be better places to spend your money in Val d'Isere.

Great location. Really smart and clean apartments and communal areas. Good storage for ski equipment and in chalets for clothes etc. All staff helpful and patient. Makes self catering option really easy as great breakfast delivery service and a two minute walk to a mini supermarket. Easy location for ski schools and lifts. Will definitely book again. Only downside was I found the beds and pillows quite hard hence sleep quality rating (this rating was not due to any noise - chalet very quiet and peaceful).

Very nice accommodation and location. Terrible front desk service. Super rude, unprofessional and abusive behavior from front desk employee. We arrived at 1.30am and parked the car outside the front of the reception as we were informed the parking was full. The front desk clerk didn’t ask us for any deposit or to remove our car. The next day we removed the car at 7.30am. In the afternoon, another front desk clerk said we would be charged for 1 night parking as we couldn’t leave the car parked where we did. In the afternoon, a lady from the front desk asked for a deposit for the chalet as the initial clerk didn’t asked us for it. We offered to pay immediately but were told we couldn’t pay with our phone only with the physical card. In the evening, the kids asked the same employee for board games and she told them to come back later. 15min later we went again to ask for the games and the employee in bad manners went to open a locked drawer for us to chose the game and she came back asking us what we had taken as if we would still the game.
The next day in the morning, they cancelled our room keys. We went to reception to say the keys were demagnetized and they said no, we cancelled for you to pay the deposit. We paid 500 euros deposit and still they forgot to give us access to the sky room and pool on the key cards. On the last day, we checkout and they said we needed to pay for 18euros of the first day parking. We kindly explained we hadn’t parked in the garage and they said they would speak to the manager and call us later.
A gentleman called us 1h later, super rude and with bad manners and said we had to pay for the parking for that day and that the chalet was dirty and would charge our deposit of 500 euros. We asked if we were responsible for cleaning the room and he said it was written everywhere and shouted on the phone that we would take our deposit.
To add to this, we are a family of 5 with 3 children, and the door to our chalet didn’t close. 
Terrible experience to a lovely few days of family holiday, caused by unprofessional, racist, rude and poorly mannered employees. Do not recommend.
