Barbarahof is really a great place to eat.
If it is for lunch or dinner, there is always a reason to stop at Barbarahof.

A nice terras, a place for children to play and friendly staff.
Next to that Barbarahof is next to the cablecar to the Bischling.

Good location just next to the cable car station.  No fancy or luxury but warm and family instead, they are very friendly.  It is clean and comfortable to stay there, very relaxing. It matches the style of a Werfenweng trip!

Came here for lunch (couldn't find a separate restaurant listing) after paragliding in the area.
I went for the cordon bleu which had a great taste and the friend potatoes were really delicious crispy roast potatoes.
My partner had a toasted cheese sandwich with egg which she enjoyed. The carrot with dressing may have been the nicest tasting carrot I've had.
The service was excellent and the waitress spoke a good amount of English and booked us a taxi after our meal.
Would be very happy to return here.

Nice local Austrian food

We stayed at Barbarahof with the family for one night as we were going to stay in Werfenweng in a nearby apartment but arrived a day early. There were 2 rooms made ready for us at short notice. The staff especially the lady who seemed to be in charge were extremely friendly and polite though this turned out to be the case with everyone we met in Austria.

We were shown to our rooms straight away with no unnecessary paperwork or delays. The rooms were very cosy and comfortable and the bathrooms had everything we needed.

On the evening we arrived we were asked if we would like dinner. The restaurant section of the guesthouse is fantastic. The staff are smiley and helpful, food is to a fantastic standard and there is a broad menu. There is also very little waiting for food. We liked it so much we came back a few more times just for dinner. 

Breakfast was a little bit limited but still enough for everyone to have a solid nutritious portion.

Werfenweng itself is a truly stunning place but the views from Barbarahof are great. You can eat or drink with a beautiful view of the mountains.

The only downside was a rather weak wi-fi signal, but really this is not a hindrance.

I would recommend this place to everyone mainly because you are made to feel so welcome.

Very family friendly guesthouse with a great atmosphere

This is a hotel where you get value for your money. I stayed here many times. The rooms are just all taking care of and are very need. Good working free WiFi all over the hotel. It is a hotel half pension the breakfast is OK but not much choice missing some fresh fruit. In the evening is the food ok. no culinaire masterpiece just ok. The people working there all the years the same are very helpful an very friendly
