Welcome to walking in Klosters

  • 700km+ of marked trails across Davos-Klosters
  • Madrisa circuit crossing into Austria via an old smugglers’ trail
  • An elegant, unhurried Swiss village with Graubünden character
Klosters is a refined Graubünden village and exceptional walking base. Here, the Landquart river runs clear and green through a valley of working orchards and farmsteads, with access to 700km+ of Davos Klosters trails, four mountain areas, and some of the finest hiking terrain in Switzerland.
Klosters hiking holidays suit every level. The Madrisa gondola from Klosters Dorf - Switzerland’s largest mountain adventure park - opens up plateau trails, while the Parsenn area above gives access to high-altitude Alpine ridge walks and panoramic views across the Silvretta. Meanwhile, the flat, peaceful Zugertal valley trail to the two Zuger lakes offers one of the most relaxing half-days in the region.
Civilised, beautiful, and quietly world-class when it comes to trails - hiking holidays in Klosters are a hidden gem with a character all of their own.

How to get around Klosters

How our self-guided Klosters walking holidays work:

Our self-guided trips let you set your own pace, from the length of your stay, to how far you walk each day. But if you’re used to group or guided holidays, you might be wondering how you’ll get around? Well, it’s easy…

Getting to and around town:

Your airport transfer is included with your trip. Once there, you’ll find Klosters split between two train stations - Klosters Platz (the main village) and Klosters Dorf - both well-connected and within easy reach of the main gondola departures.

Getting to your walks and hikes:

The Rhaetian Railway offers scenic connections between Klosters Dorf, Davos, and Filisur.
Take the Gotschnabahn cable car from the Klosters Platz station, or for Madrisa, take the gondola from the valley station in Klosters Dorf.
