By my view it is excellent property for couples or single travelers. Family run hotel has on every single meter some interesting design or decoration. People who built and arranged this hotel was very stylish people.
You have so many nice small seating place in different parts in hotel which give you chance to sit and relax.
Excellent food (too big portions!) and good service.
Rooms are small but very nice decorated and very cosy atmosphere. 
Located in the centre of the village just few meters from all important places.
Nice pool, several good restaurants and bar, nice spa (included in price).
For me excellent choice - value for money

You have to carefully study different kind of the rooms and choose which is good for you.

This is part of a small very succesful group,  Confusing evening food offer, multiple locations with fancy signs for oriental food etc..but after standing around I was told just one menu..sit anywhere, then strictly assigned a table.
Poor check in regarding advice on food offer facilities.
We were the furthest room possible from reception requiring lifting our cases up 3 flights of stairs with my partner walking with a stick.
No offer of help.
Room small with heavily sloping roof, hit my head 3 times.Shower barely worked.
The one evening meal we were there at about 20.30 but were very rushed, food was delivered 3-5 minutes after ordering..the prawns tasted as if microwaved..like a rubber ball.
The dessert which we had ro ask for ..the menu consisted of ice cream, Strudel or a dish translated as simply chopped pancake
Staff were ok overall
Location is excellent
Maria Alm is a beautiful village with great ski opportunities

The owners are taking their success for granted

we have stayed at the Eder hotel a few years now and can only praise it! a wonderful warm family run hotel with excellent food and very clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for skiing and hiking and cycling The rooms are very well insulated and we can hardly hear the church bells. service was excellent and good value for money. we already booked our return visit and looking forward to it.
