My friend and I have just returned from a week at the Hotel Alpenhof and it was great. We arrived by train and the hotel offered to send us a cab for pick up but we'd already organised one. The great service continued after they cleared up some confusion with our rooms that we may have caused ourselves.

The rooms werecomfortable and well cleaned every day and the showers were hot and powerful.

Breakfast was plentiful and included in the hotel rate. Evening meals in the restaurant weren't included in the rate but we heard such great things locally that we gave them a go. The dishes were fresh, generous and very tasty, just what you need after a day on the slopes. We ended up having 3 meals there, freshly made tortellini, pizza, then on the final night opting for the lamb. The Lamb in particular was delicious and very filling.

The location of the hotel was a 6-8 minute walk from one of the villages main gondolas which was brilliant.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staying in snowbound Westendorf Il Vagabondi restaurant at the Alpenhof hotel was fantastic.  The welcome was warm, and very flexible as others joined our group. The surprising expertise and warmth of the waiting staff barely, but just about,  exceeded the quality of the food and the wine list was better than adequate.

Everything you require for a great ski -trip - large, clean room, lively bar, reasonably priced restaurant with excellent food, and close to the ski lifts. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the everything was superb value.
