Third stay in this delightful hotel for skiing in Ischgl by 15 minute ski bus journey. Food, service ,room and spa area exhibit understated quality which is why so many guests return year and year.
I would prefer to keep it a secret.
Daily  soup at 4pm after a day on the mountain is a just reward . 250m from ski bus stop. 
Christian and Sabine , the owners, demonstrate genuine Austrian hospitality.


A hidden gem

Despite the weather being not the best, the hotel was excellent!  Sabine and her staff were all friendly and really helpful. The bar, dining room and bedrooms were all lovely and the food was top restaurant quality!  The hotel is in a quiet location yet only about 200 yards from the ski bus stop.  It’s a great alternative place to stay in contrast to very lively Ischgl which is a 10 minute bus ride away.
It’s worth mentioning a top apres Ski bar for a late afternoon/early evening boogie - The Huber Stadl at the foot of the local slopes, a 2 minute bus ride from the hotel!

Superb Hotel

We stayed at the hotel Buntali for a week of skiing . Galtür was badly damaged by an avalanche in 1999 and there is evidence of this all around .
The Hotel in contrast was clean bright and welcoming . It was easy to get to the Dorfplatz to get the bus to either wirl or ischgl. There is a ski locker. I would recommend Wirl for some relaxed skiing - just enough for four hours . Ischgl was huge .
The evening food was amazing .The buffet was to die for. Breakfast was of good quality. However smoothies and perhaps fresh omelettes would have really been fantastic .
The staff were completely amazing . Christina was fun and kind at the same time. Angelica brought me mustard for my scrambled eggs without asking. Antonio looked after us very well.
The spa was Ok but there was a large party of men from Germany on a club ski week. Lots of middle aged naked men were a bit much so we stopped using it . It would have been nice to have a jacuzzi .
Overall would very much recommend the hotel if you want a quiet relaxing time in a clean hotel with fantastic service .. but avoid a week with  40 + men on a ski trip.
