We had a room facing the Matterhorn, wow what a view especially in the morning when the sun came up. The room was very comfortable & spacious with a balcony too. Breakfast the following morning was excellent, eggs to order rather than left on a servery. Plenty of choice of other tasty breakfast items too. Wish we could be back there now.

Great location within easy walking distance of the main railway station and the Gornergrat Bahn, just across the street from the Matterhorn Zermatt Bergbahen, and in the heart of Zermatt itself. It was perfect for exploring the mountains during the day and all that Zermatt has to offer in the evening. The room was comfortable, very clean and well appointed. Our balcony was well appreciated and a perfect spot to watch paragliders and the setting sun. The breakfast was delicious - ask for the pancakes, and the staff always cheerful and helpful (yes, they really will take your luggage up/down the stairs!).

You will not regret staying here.

1.  Well-located in front of Sunnegga Blauherd Rothhorn Funnicular And Cable Car Station.
2.  Probably one of very few hotels in the world that has a tile panel (6 piece, in this case) with matching listello in the bathroom.  Beautiful and perhaps homely.  Newly built or newly renovated bathrooms tend to have plain big tiles with no organic pattern (eg. flowers), and panel tiles are not abundant these days.  So likely, the tiling was not recently done; but its age is not a determinant of quality of stay experience.  People who suggested or approved the tiles had a good taste, and an expensive one too (listellos tend to cost significantly when laid for long distances).

We recently stayed at Hotel - Steakhouse Cheminée in Zermatt for two nights as a family of four, and our experience was wonderful. Offering wonderful views of the Matterhorn from the hotel room balcony, the location is very convenient—it’s just a 5-7 minute walk from the train stations and directly opposite the Rothorn cable car.

Room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good that included hot egg options.

Hotel doesn't have a lift but the staff offered to carry our luggage to our rooms. Found the staff very helpful and friendly - both at front desk and restaurant.

Overall, a perfect base for a stay in Zermatt offering good value, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Our country style rooms offer you a feeling of well being and relaxation during your whole stay. Our well known Restaurant and Steakhouse serves fresh local produce and high quality cuisine. Enjoy delicious appetizers, a wide selection of steaks from the barbecue grill and last but not least a large variety of Swiss specialties
