Had an amazing stay, room was amazing, clean and had an amazing mountain view. The front desk staff especially Rajat, Kunal and rest of the team were alwaays there to assist. Gave me an early check in and late check out as well. Le Chamois is an amazing building with great amenities. Will definitely come back.

Stay at Le Chamois

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Le Chamois by Whistler Premier. Due to an urgent health issue, I had to cancel/reschedule my reservation more than 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time. Despite this, the hotel refused to offer a refund or even a travel credit, citing their strict policy.

I reached out multiple times, hoping for some understanding given the circumstances, but the management was unresponsive and inflexible. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to accommodate a genuine emergency was truly disheartening.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values customer service and flexibility. There are many other options in Whistler that are more accommodating and understanding.

Watch out for the cancellation policy

This is the perfect place for snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts. You are only steps away from the Blackcomb Gondola.  Plus, it is only about a 15 minute walk (at least for me) to get to Whistler Village for shopping and dining.  There are plenty of dining and imbibing options closer, including the Fairmont Whistler, which is across the walkway and has fantastic sandwiches and coffees.  Our unit was on the second floor and faced another building, therefore, we did not enjoy a view (unit 213).  However, our friends have a unit on the fourth floor and we spent our down time in their unit.  Our unit was quite spacious and comfortable for a couple.  The bed was comfortable, memory foam bed, I believe.  WiFi was spotty.  However, we really didn't need it.  The staff is super friendly and helpful.  We are planning to return, however, we are going to try to book on the fourth floor and get a room with a view of the mountain.

This is easily the worst hotel with the rudest staff that I have ever experienced. They were completely unhelpful with answering any questions and no one seemed interested in the guests’ experience. Ask them a question and expect a “no,” period - no explanations, no suggestions, nothing. Stay away from this property!

The opposite of hospitality

However, we regret to learn that there were other aspects of your stay that were not as charming. This is disappointing to hear but we want to thank you for bringing these items to our attention so we can look into them further. Providing every guest with a five-star experience is our top priority, so please know that we'll use this input in the evolution of the property in order to ensure we're meeting those goals. We hope you'll come stay with us another time and give us a chance to change your outlook on Le Chamois! 

The homepage of the Le Chamois website uses the word “hotel” multiple times. It is not a hotel. It’s someone’s private condo, there’s no one who will help you with problems, no consistency, no accountability. 

Untrained front desk staff who couldn't answer any of our questions about the village or the building. 

When I said that the website told us it was a hotel, the front desk guy lazily said, while staring into the middle distance, “Oh, wow. Okay. That shouldn’t be there. I’ll let them know.” A month later, the website of course hasn’t changed. FRAUD.  

Elevators were unclean. Hallways were run down and neglected. The room smelled musty. Major amounts of dust under the bed, seemd like a couple of years' worth. Hairs and plastic straws were in the corners of the living room. Skittle on the floor. 

I found glopped-up hair in the shower drain, rust around the sprayer, soap scum on the glass shower doors, and no liners in the wastebaskets. I went down to the front desk again to let them know and they said they would send someone to clean it. ITEM: this single person was a fantastic help and I hope he has already found a better employer.

The heat didn’t work for 12 hours. I was wrapped in blankets but very cold all day——I went down and asked the front desk to fix it; they sent someone with no experience or knowledge at all. He might have been a barista from down the street for all I know. Standing there, randomly punching buttons... 

At one point he said “There. Set. Is 20°C okay?”

That’s 86°F!!!   Um…no. Not okay.  (shaking my head.) 

Finally, my husband figured it out. 

Do you like paying a “Reservation Fee” of $52 for every night you stay? Makes no sense to me, but cash-fleecing tricks rarely make sense to anyone except the managers who implement them. Of course, the woman (girl?) at the front desk had no explanation to offer at check out.

Perfect location, but the sleeping experience was regrettable. Low integrity establishment. Avoid. 



Avoid! You might get #213 or one like it.
