J'apporterai une réponse simple à ce commentaire. Nous ne sommes pas responsables du Tour de France et des incertitudes liées à la météo. Dès lors, une réservation est un engagement et nous ne pouvons gérer sérieusement notre établissement avec une annulation le matin même, pour un séjour entamé. Je pratique beaucoup les maisons d'hôtes et je ne peux me projeter agissant comme ces hôtes, mettant un point d'honneur à respecter mes engagements de réservation.

We had booked 2 nights at this venue as a treat at the end of our holiday, travelling from Provence to the Alps.  The journey to the Mineral Spa is a series of steep climbs and hairpin bends.  When you eventually get there the car park is littered with construction vehicles and there is construction work at the front of the building.  Eventually we found the door to go in and our host greeted us warmly.  We had been travelling for 4-5 hours so was ready to find the bar for a beer.  However this was served at the table we were to eat at.  We got a small tin each.  Our meal was served by Alan who gave a brief description of what we were eating at each course.  The first was a coquette, the second course was chicken marinaded in Indian spices with Pasta, then cheese, then a tart.  We had a very expensive bottle of wine to accompany this ( not by choice).  

Our room was very pleasant with an excellent shower.  We had originally planned to see the Tour de France  the next day but overnight due to bad weather, the route had been altered and was no longer coming through Bourg st Maurice which was why we had booked to stay at the Mineral Spa!  We explained this to Alan and said we were going to leave as there was little point in staying a second day, the weather being dreadful.  He was really angry with us and said we were very rude and that he would not behave in such a way.  He tried to charge us the full price for 2 nights but under the booking.com contract we were only obliged to pay 50 percent for the cancellation which we did.  Fortunately my husband had this information on his mobile phone and showed it to Alan.  We were charged 5 euros each for a small tin of beer each and 5 euros for an espresso each. As we left my husband thanked Alan but he did not speak to us and we left.  Mineral Spa is tastefully furnished but not comfortable and is very very expensive for what you get.  I have never been shouted at by a hotelier before, he should moan, we were over 400 euros out of pocket for a meal and a bed!


Expensive and disappointing

Our third stay at the mineral lodge, service as excellent as ever. The host, Alan, goes out of his way to make sure you stay to meet your needs. A truly personalized holiday. Skiing from the door is first class with no lift ques or ski school chaos you see at other resorts. The only tip is to avoid French holidays if possible. They are spread over several weeks. 

Amazing as ever

We loved staying in this stunning property, the photos do not do it justice! It exceeded all expectations. The room was very spacious and absolutely spotless, the common areas were very light and airy with incredible mountain views. Our host Alan was lovely, he was so helpful and booked a different beautiful french restaurant for us each night. The first night  Alan cooked a great 4 course meal, it was so convenient too after a long drive from Geneva airport. There was always fresh bread and  croissants for breakfast which we loved. Great access to the Les Arcs ski area from here, there is a chair lift just outside so it really is 'ski in, ski out' accommodation. My only advice is be aware that it's quite a long ski down after a full day skiing, and whilst there are blue runs all the way down some are quite challenging with tired legs..so I wouldn't recommend this side of the mountain for beginner skiers. 
Mineral Lodge is an unforgettable place I thoroughly recommend this very special place.

Mineral Lodge is an incredibly luxurious experience. The decor, layout, and ambiance are very contemporary and modern.  However, Alan, the host makes treats you like a personal house guest. He puts no constraints on his guests, and you have the flexibility to do what your want. We took full advantage his hospitality and enjoyed Alan's regional cooking for all but one evening, including pre and post dinner drinks around the modern fireplace. It was a real pleasure to meet and share a meal with the other guests around the table. 

The lodge is very convenient for the ski lifts, and you can ski back to within 10 meters of the door. The boot room even includes a boot heater, which Alan turns on in the morning. 
In general, we don't visit the same place twice, but we will be booking Mineral Lodge again very soon.

Luxury personal service

Mineral Lodge is a unique chalet in the french Alps, in Savoie, at the heart of the top end resorts in Haute Tarentaise. Settled in a traditional Savoie village, it provides the best comfort. In winter, it is just down the pists of Paradiski ,Les Arcs, and you can ski in & out. In summer, it is down the Vanoise National Park. Beyond the comfort of the rooms with private bathrooms, Mineral Lodge has large lounges, 2 dining rooms, so that each guest can enjoy a private experience of the place. In the garden, the jacuzzi is all along the year an unforgettable experience, with an amazing view. The sauna haps recovering after sport. At Mineral Lodge, 1/2 board is absolutely optional as we want our guests fell free to manage their stay the way they want.
