Stayed for 3 nights over New Year family of 8 with an 8 month old baby. Arrived at 12pm no check in until between 5pm and 7pm, actually no staff around at all - no parking, had to just dump the car! After hanging around for 5 hours we Queued to check in, finally got to the room.

ROOM: All I can say is that my room on a recent P&O ferry crossing was luxury compared to these. If you’re over 5ft you’d struggle. The walls are paper thin and the noise from the lift next to our room and kids running through the corridors kept us awake all night!

FACILITIES: Unless you pay the €8 for breakfast you cannot get a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, you couldn’t even ask for one from the restaurant and pay for it! - not great when grandparents have travelled to look after the baby! And have to sit in an empty dark lounge all morning.

Finally, my brother drank out of the ‘complimentary’ bottle of water in the room, which turned out to be neat alcohol or cleaning fluid! When we complained to reception they offered us another bottle of water! UNBELIEVABLE! They couldn’t have cared less!! I’m sure they would have cared if it had reacted badly with the medication he is on!!

This VVF Villages offers various services to meet a wide audience. You have made a short stay in a group and we thank you for letting us know your feelings. You mention problems encountered during your arrival and we are sorry. We can also assure you that we have taken note of all of your findings as they make us progress. On the other hand, meals are actually offered as a buffet to diversify the dishes and offer a wider choice to our holidaymakers. We regret nonetheless if you have found the restricted choice. In case of dissatisfaction, we must approach the staff so that they can act accordingly. You also stated that you enjoyed the breakfasts and it delights us. In addition, you will find in our documents the description of each room as well as the corresponding area. They are not equipped with TV otherwise this information would be noted. Les Islettes is conveniently located very close to the ski slopes and that's pretty much the only up-side.
I stayed for a weekend with a large group. The "village" is pretty big and offers lots of activities for families and kids. 
Check-in was messy since other big groups arrived more or less at the same time. The staff even forgot to put room keys inside most of the envelops given to guests.
The corridors on the floors look like those of a hospital, all dark and metallic.
Rooms are clean(ish), very basic and extra small (no TV, pre-historic heating system, limited furniture) but had a good view: I stayed with a friend on a triple room and I don't know how we could have managed if we had had an extra guest to accomodate.
The restaurant serves self-service dinner and didn't have much to choose from. It was way crowded and extra noisy. Staff were nice.
Breakfast, on the other hand, was way better.
All in all, I would recommend it for short stays near the slopes, unless of course you have kids and can therefore enjoy all the activities they have.
