Kandersteg

The location is just beside the Alps and the Gondola station to the oeschinen see. The room was excellent and the service staff were warm and kind.

Value for your money

While the room was spacious, it is over half a mile walk to the hotel from the train station. The hotel also does not have elevators, so if you are staying on the top floor, which we were, its not ideal carrying large suitcases up the stairs. The showers were also quite tiny, so thankfully my husband and I are on the smaller side. Larger people will have difficulty using the amenities. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Loved eating at the Rendezvous beside the hotel.
