excelent staff&place....Very nice pools and positions to go arund the lake. We will defenetly come back as soon as possible...recomended families  with small children, because their children will have a lot of fun

My friends stayed in Campeggio da Giovanni, while me and my family stayed at Campeggio da Garda (which was beautiful). 
One evening we went to visit them to have a drink on their terrace, and the receptionist welcomed us with price of 8,5€ per person (5 of us). After a while, we managed to explain that we will stay for 1,5h, which wasn't charged, and the reception personell commented us among themselves as "moroni" (which means the same in every language). On our departure, after informing them about my intention to review them on tripadvisor beacuse of their foul language about their guests, I was told that we weren't their guests and that they don't care. In the end a guy ran after me to the parking lot calling me "hey, stupido" (hey, you stupid) and swearing me in italian and threatening me never to come back again (I do speak italian so I understood everything). 
My kids were sitting on the back seat, frightened.
I am definitelly NEVER going back there again, and I don't recommend it to either of you.

The "indoor" heated swimming pool (we went in October) was something that our kids (11 and 13) used a lot. That's why we selected this place. The pool has no extra features or slides or anything, but it's heated to 28 degrees Celsius, so that's good when you can no longer go bathing outside. The restaurant is also quite nice for something small if you don't want to go anywhere. Another nice thing is that there is a Lidl shop not too far away (maybe 1km), so you can buy anything you want if you want to eat or cook at home. The fridge is also big enough and working excellent.
Unfortunately there is no WLAN, although advertised. From our bungalow there was no connection. The staff was friendly and gave us a login for an additional network, but that was no better. Both networks are only reachable from certain areas, but not from our home. We ended up buying a mobile phone data SIM card (from Ita Tre network) and using that network. Actually we selected this place because it had an indoor swimming pool and WLAN, but only the swimming pool was usable of these two things. The location is a bit off, so that you always need a car to get somewhere (which means you cannot drink). Peschiera is not too far away, but too far to walk. They also close the main entrance at 23:00, so if you come back later, you have to park outside. Another thing to keep in mind is that there is no dishwasher. As we wanted to enjoy vacations, we couldn't eat at home or we had to wash everything used by hand (which cannot be considered vacations for us), so we always went out for eating. Another problem is that the shower temperature (heated by gas) is not constant. Sometimes is suddenly gets cold even if nobody is using water outside of the shower. This was a big problem for our kids.

Stayed in one of the apartments for a week and would have been happy to stay there for at least a month :)

I got a cappuncino every morning which I was able to bring back to my apartment (no.1). 

Pros: 
Quiet and relaxed location and friendly staff.
Plenty of room at the pool and any time we went there was always sunbeds available.  
Suitable for families with childrens playground, bikes to rent etc.
Apartments were a good size and had all we needed. 

Cons
A little bit out of town so you would need a car.
A small thing but there isn't a dedicated kids pool so you need to keep an eye on small kids who can't swim. There is plenty of room in the shallow end however which starts off very shallow.

Lovely relaxing stay

Located in Peschiera del Garda, Camping da Giovanni offers two outdoor pools and a large hot tub in an 8-hectare garden, of which a swimming pool in the low season is covered and heated max. 29 degrees. Bungalows with two bedrooms, mobile homes with three bedrooms, mini-suites for 2 people, pitches for campers, roulottes and tents, free WiFi in all areas. The air-conditioned rooms come with a flat-screen satellite TV and a balcony or terrace. The private bathroom is fitted with a shower. The apartments include a kitchenette with a microwave. Breakfast is served in the common area every morning. The bar offers quick snacks and drinks. Peschiera del Garda center is 3.3 km from the property, while Lake Garda is 2 km from the property. Gardaland amusement park is a 20-minute drive away.
