Once again spending our skiing holiday in Alpenhotel Plattner and as usual everything up to standard. Fantastic food, comfy spacious rooms, friendly efficient staff and breathtaking views from the balcony. You couldn't wish for more.
Family Plattner always give you a warm welcome and make you feel at home. We will be back again next year.

This was our third time in Alpenhotel Plattner and we weren't disappointed. Everything was up to standard and this year they excelled in cuisine. The choice of 3 main course dishes in the evening were varied (meat, vegetarian or fish) so no problem if you are vegan or vegetarian. It was sometimes difficult to make a final choice. Everything from starters to deserts was appetisingly presented. Friendly efficient service, wide choice of Austrian and international wines at reasonable prices. So, what more do you want?
The rooms are large, comfortable and from the balcony you have breathtaking views of the mountains. The proprietors very friendly and are always available if you need advice. One evening Mr Plattner stands behind the buffet and for a starter makes a fantastic beef tartar to your own specifications. Delicious. Thanks, we'll be back again next year.

After having a super skiing holiday last year at this small family run hotel, which is situated directly on the slopes, we decided to return and weren't disappointed. Food excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Mr. and Mrs. Platttner give a welcome drink and get together on Saturday before dinner so you can get to know other guests and of course the proprietors. He also explains the weekly programme which amongst other things includes, snow shoe wandering, lantern walk, wine tasting and at the end of the week a farmers market which offers all the local specialities of sausage meat and cheeses. Delicious. 
Highly recommendable. We'll be back.

Everything still great

This small family run hotel is situated directly on the slopes of the Gartnerkofel, so, skis on and off you go. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with separate toilet and bathroom. They also have a balcony facing southwest were you can relax in the sunshine after skiing. The food is excellent with lots of choice, sometimes in buffet form or choice of dishes and everything is appetizingly presented. They also have a large selection of bottle wines from various countries at reasonable prices and the Austrian house wine is also very good. There are sauna and fitness facilities in the cellar. The staff are very competent, friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble when you need assistance.
The hotel also offers other activities such as snow shoe wandering, lantern walk, wine tasting and on Friday afternoon a farmers market were you can taste and buy lots of delicious local products. Highly recommendable.
