The hotel was very cosy and friendly. The breakfast was good with lots of variety and the possibility of freshly cooked omelettes. The staff was friendly and service minded. The sauna was good and the rooms and all facilities were very clean. Great location

We arrived at Apart Garni Erna after two days of travel, as a family, with children and grandparents, including a little infant. Needless to say, we were all very tired. Instead of a warm welcome, we were received with tension and hostility, on the reason that we did not let them know in advance about the one and a half year old infant. The lady kept stressing there was no room enough to shelter the baby also. I said it was our problem, and that the baby would sleep in the same bed with us. Unfortunately, we had to struggle to get the key card to our apartment, and in the end we were allowed to stay, and it seemed like it was a big, big favour. We felt unwelcome and ashamed, after paying well in advance for the apartment. 
After this bitter first impression, things got better, and the relationship with the host improved. The breakfast was always very good, and the apartment really nice, as well as the location. However, one can get over a first bad impression with difficulty. We kept remembering that awful ”welcome”. The apartment was well suited to shelter the seven people (the number of people we had announced), as there were overall seven bed places, so the room for the baby was really not an issue at all. I kept wondering why was that show ever necessary to start with...

At the end of the week of holiday, we parted cordially, and though I offered to pay for the baby, the host did not take any additional fee. We were even invited to come back :) So overall a good stay, and a pleasant good bye, but unfortunately a very bitter start...

An overall good stay, but a very bad first impression

We arrived and it started snowing, what more can you ask for.

Our room was spotless, cosy, had all you can ask for. Even stars when the light went of. 

The sauna a really value add to the stay. The location 100% quite and close to lift and centre. 

The breakfast had everything to offer and be honest could not eat more.

The host was exquisite and we are back!

The trip with my brothers and my best mate was one of the time.

What a week!

We stayed in the apartments as there were 5 of us. Rooms are clean, beds are perfect as they are incredibly soft, there is everything you want in the apartments - plates, glasses, knives, cooking pots, dish washing machines, etc. Therefore you need to buy only products in the markets (located near post office, 5 minutes walk). There is also a tunnel nearby (1 minute walk) which leads to the cabines to Idalp, very useful! Tunnel is with rolling stairs. Nearby you can also find a lot of sport shops and ski rent.
The spa is great! There is sauna (80-100 C), herbal sauna (50-60 C), Turkish bath (wet sauna, 60-70 C), salt room (room with deckchairs with walls made from salt). You can rest with your body and soul after a long skiing day! Very nice design of the spa. However it is very compact and more than 10 person at one time there would be quite crowdy.

However there is one negative moment which surprised us a lot. The matter is that the host-lady is not friendly at all. Everytime you ask her for help you receive a facial expression from her showing that she is tired of everybody in the world. Moreover there was an issue with dish washing. We washed the dishes 1 time a day (in the evening, tell me who will wash dishes in the morning 8 a.m. when you are hurrying to the mountains), however we were told by the host-lady in an angry way that "it is not okay and dishes must be cleaned everytime they are used". We agreed with her as there was nothing left to do, but her behaviour could be more polite. When we were leaving after the holidays she was to check the room. She found 2 dishes and 1 cooking pot with several drops of water (left after washing in the morning) and again complained in a rude manner that "it is not okay and that we should get rid of the drops". I am not against cleannes in the rooms, kitchen, etc., but the behaviour of host-lady could be more humane. My advise for her - learn how to be friendly!

We had a wonderful weekend here ... a lovely small hotel, with good facilities, lovely rooms, helpful staff, a wonderful spa and perfect location.  This was a bit like staying at someone's home as it was very welcoming and personal in its welcome. We arrived very late at night (early am infact) and owner nice note with the key to welcome us.  The room was very bright and airy (and ours had this wonderful display of stars on the ceiling when you turn the light out!) - and there was lots of good storage space.  It was also warm and comfortable.  The breakfast was varied with lots to choose.  Its is only a short walk from one of the main lifts so very easy.  Altogether it was great for the weekend as a couple skiing.
