Cheap & cheerful. Brilliant location. Friendly staff. Basic accommodation. Restaurant is like a canteen.  Food ok & plentiful. Perfect for families especially with young children. Predominantly French

Very enjoyable stay at this Hotel. The Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The Hotel itself has a great history in Morzine and is right in the middle of the town. Easy access to the ski lifts ! 
The self service restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great selection of French food, salad bar , hot food and desserts. Drinks available during all meals. Takeaway lunch option available, great for picnic just book at reception. The Hotel bar is a nice place to get a drink in the evening with open fireplace and entertainment every night, French style. The rooms are basic but do the job. We stayed in room 411 on the fourth floor. The hotel lift can only accommodate two people at a time, so the hotel stairs is a hive of activity, you get to meet a lot of friendly guests on the stairs all saying hello and have a nice day. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant. The hotel has a wellness center but we didn’t get time to use the facilities during our stay. We did  use the ski lockers in the basement and they did the job, you definitely get the feel of the age of this building in the basement. Check out the old photos on the walls of the ski lockers. 
I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next visit to Morzine. 

Some areas for improvement from our point of view:  
WiFi in the bedrooms would be useful. It is available but only in the bar area. 
Hairdryer in the bedroom would be a nice addition.  
No bathtub in the rooms, shower in the WC, this may be due to the age of the building. 
One of the mattress pads in our room needs replacing. 

All that said, see you next year Mileade !
