I’m just travelling home following a fantastic stay in Morzine/Avoriaz at Chalet Manava. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.  Before we even arrived, Laetitia was very attentive over email and provided lots of information and advice. Upon arrival, we were met by Michel, who went above and beyond during our whole four day stay. We arrived at 1pm following an early flight from Geneva, and he happily ferried us up to the main lift in his minibus. Breakfast was great - always lots of choice. Room was spacious and cosy, plus impeccably clean. We will definitely be coming back.

I also recommend using Ski Mobile, who have a great relationship with the chalet, and delivered our hire gear straight to the boot room - perfect for shorter trips where you don’t want to waste time.

Wow what a great place from start to finish. The owner is so so helpful nothing is too  much trouble. Very friendly and approachable so is his daughter.
One of the best places we have stayed while skiing.
Breakfast is great rooms very clean and tidy. Lounge area great. Location good even dropped us to the lift in the morning and to and from ski hire. 1000% Recommend and will definitely return.

This chalet was built and is run by its owner, Michel. It's lovely.

A double sink and walk-in shower big enough not to bang your elbows is a first for me in a French ski resort!

The chalet is spacious for the number of guests, nicely appointed, and super clean. Usual facilities for ski gear.

Breakfast is excellent, with a large choice. I felt guilty every day that I had left so much untouched. Everything was first-class, from freshly cut fruit salad to cured meats made by Michel and local cheeses.

But the star of the show is Michel, who lives below with his family. He was really friendly and very flexible. He prepared breakfast an hour early for us and then dropped us at the Gondola station to make the first lifts for spring skiing. It's a five-minute drive and a nice relaxed way to get going in the morning. Much nicer than the bus. He even brought my friend back to pick up his forgotten gloves.

If you chat with Michel, you may learn about his life in the mountains, ski patrol dynamite, ski touring, and the best off-piste runs.

If you are staying in Morzine and want to ski mainly in Avoriaz, being on bus Line A is very important. The stops are 50m from this chalet. Also, if you want to eat in town and walk back, this is about 12 minutes. It is uphill but not too bad, and of course, Michel will drop you down in the valley and point out some better restaurants.

Great 4 days is this chalet. Michael the host/owner was so helpful and welcoming. Great breakfasts and also gave us a lift to the slopes every morning even though there is a bus service over the road. There is a 20 min walk into the town but again, when possible, Michael dropped us into town. Good to walk back and let the food go down!

Great trip and would highly recommend.

Had a brilliant couple of days is this beautiful chalet. Michael the host is so helpful and kind. He provides a fabulous breakfast then gave us lifts to pick up our ski hire. He also gave us a lift to the slopes although there is a very convenient bus service 1 min from the chalet. There is a 15 min walk into the town but we enjoyed that after a days skiing. Good to stretch the legs!
