Good morning Mr. Kyle Z,
we understand your discomfort but we want to point out a few points:
at check in you signed a regulation where it was indicated that at check out the apartment has to be without rubbish and with empty fridge.
Unfortunately this was not, so and it was not possible to check it out directly with you as you went away very soon (before our check out time) without informing us and without having had the opportunity to check out and see the apartment condition togheter.
As written by you, you have been asked (by telephone) for the extra cleaning costs but in the end we never charged.
We apologize for the misunderstanding but we have to specify that we do not think we have been thieves since we did not get any money.

Do not stay at this hotel! The stay was very nice, but after we left they called us and told us they were going to charge us $50 euros extra for leaving the room dirty. We cleaned the room very well before we left, and everything was in perfect condition. The only thing we could have done differently would be to wash the sheets and towels and make the bed ourselves before leaving. Ridiculous! These people are thieves! I've never been treated so poorly by any hotel staff. Do not give your money to these thieves! You will be stolen from!!!

we are pleased that you enjoyed the residence and Limone and I'm sorry for what happened, but I just wanted to explain how it works.
You had informed us you were coming around 20:00 / 21:00 and, since there is a reception 24h-24h require a supplement of € 30. Usually, our staff wait guests maximum up to 22.00. You are arrived at 23.40 and unfortunately the rate increases. As far as cleaning is being asked to not leave dirty dishes and take out the rubbish, unfortunately, those are costs what the cleaning company charge to us! Upon check out you did'nt come to the reception where we colud explain all this and give you the invoice.
Now that you know our rules we would like you to come back by offering a small discount.

We stayed at this property for three nights to enjoying some skiing in Limone.  It was a last minute booking and with a 3 hour drive we arrived outside their reception time and expected to pay a €30 surcharge as had been advised by e-mail.

Upon arrival at the hotel at 2230 we were told that a fee of €50 would be charged due to our arrival after 2200.  This could only be paid in cash, without invoice.  We were also advised that we would be charged for our second child and again this must be paid with cash. This despite our booking being for 2 adults and 2 children.

We contacted Booking.com and they confirmed that no payment should be made for an extra child and that all surcharges must be invoiced, as is law in Italy to avoid fraud.

Accommodation at the property was almost as new. Quiet, clean and comfortable with full kitchen facilities provided.  The only drawbacks were that only two hotplates could be used without tripping the fuse to the apartment and, as we found on the morning we departed, the dishwasher could not be used at all.  Additionally, the two smoke detectors in the apartment still had their dust covers in place rendering them useless.

On the day of departure we attempted to use the dishwasher again to wash the few items we had used that morning but again, the power to the apartment tripped so we gave up.  We collected all rubbish into a single plastic bag and as there was no obvious disposal area, we left this by the door.

Later on the day of check-out I was contacted by the property to tell me that they would be charging €100 to my credit card for the late check-in and a €50 cleaning fee.  I objected to this for the above reasons and a €80 charge was made which I will be contesting.

This is a great property which is severely let down for administrative reasons.  There are no clear written guidelines either in the booking or in the apartment and it would appear that staff are free to request cash payments for undocumented items. 

We regularly stay in Limone and would love to stay in this property again but after this experience we will have to stay elsewhere.

Nice property but with random cash charges

The perfect location to relax and have fun in every season. Every apartment provides tv and features balcony or garden. Municipal free shuttle for the sky slopes. Borgo Fantino is linked to the small town of Limone with its ancient roman promenade of about 1 kilometer. All the apartments are full equipped with kitchenette. Bed sheets and towels are provided.
