I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Catrina Lodge. This hotel is a gem in every sense – warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for both families and solo travelers. The rooms are spacious, clean, and cozy, with breathtaking mountain views. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

Whether you're looking to unwind after a day of hiking or simply enjoy some peaceful time in nature, this is the place to be. The family-friendly atmosphere is evident everywhere – from the kid-friendly facilities to the relaxed ambiance that makes everyone feel at home. I stayed solo and also felt extremely safe and well cared for.

Highly recommended – I will definitely return!

Perfect Stay for Families and Solo Travelers Alike!

At first sight, the lodge is beautiful, but the inside needs freshening up. 
The manager speaks good English but the waiting staff don’t. 
The rooms are clean but old fashioned. 
We had dinner there, but it was disappointing, I had a burger (nothing else available) and a huge plateful of cheap, skinny chips, no veg, no salad and cost £28 but the dessert was better, that was £8. Breakfast wasn’t much either. Shame though, it could have been a lovely stay. 

Expensive for what it was

We had a terrible experience with the service, one of the waitress was so rude with us, to begin we asked to bring us tap water, however she brought us an expensive water bottle. She made us wait a long time to take our orders. Moreover, when we paid she didn’t provide us with the detail of the orders we had to request it. Then we realise that we were charged for food we didn’t order, after a discussion and a very aggressive attitude from her, she agreed to give us back the extra money we paid it for the food.

Rude service!

All you need for a night when traveling. The rooms are small and are ensuite, there are not any provisions for fixing or storing food. Breakfast is included and is the continental type with eggs and cold ham. There is a storage room for skid and maybe 6 bikes. I would stay there again.

Good for a night

Wonderful hotel in disentis we where 8 frinds spending 4 days skiing with guide that the frindly staff fixed for us the hotel have good food and friendly atmosfer
And Clean rooms and a nice relax room sauna skiing is realy good freeride paradise
